That Hannah Montana chick has the most god awful voice

Its real sad in our society where we raise our kids to follow the teens they watch on tv.

Sorry buddy and i mean absolutely nothing towards you, but if you do your job raising your kid well, it doesnt make a shit if they watched Hannah Montana growing up or Erkle they will turn out ok

My kids enjoy watching the show and enjoy her cd's. Just like when she came to concert here in Houston and she sold out within minutes. I refused to pay scalper prices for tickets even though people were saying to do so here. Regardless of the job you do as a parent your kids will have outside influences in their lives. My point is to hopefully limit those experiences to positive ones and hope they make the right choices in life.

You can be the best parents in the world but there will come a time when your kids will have to make their own choices about right and wrong. Hopefully the positive experiences they were exposed to will guide their judgement towards the right side. (Not the poster, lol)

Though people seem to forget about parenting these days, you got mothers calling into the radio saying "My daughter who is 14 wears a miniskirt and a ripped Tshirt now because of what she sees on TV" I mean there are outside influences but any parent should instill in their kids right from wrong

As well as you could do raising your kid, they will have times when they are exposed to drugs either in high school or college and your parenting is what should make them stay away from it, not some girl she watches who talks like a fucking annoying little rat

Hesitate to add to this thread as I feel it is exalting celebs, but as I get older I agree on the positive role model thing.
Miley seems to be OK in that regard and really could care less for her looks or singing ability.
As a former teacher, I shake my head at what these kids look to for role models and any positive influence is worthwhile in my book.

I hear ya. My oldest daughter had a Hannah Montana birthday party and you should have heard all them girls singing along with the cd. They had a great time though so that's all that matters.
