My position in this matter might look a bit compromised for I'm posting under the name of the company that I work for. If I say I agree with you, you will tarnish every existing forum with the statement that WE agree with you. If I say I agree with Cascade you will smear the name of Hollywood Sportsbook for many months to come.
So i figured, there's no positive outcome for me. But I will not be intimidated by a possible smear campaign. So I will post my PERSONAL opinion. My opinion will be based on everything that I have had the chance to read in these past months.
You called in a wager on a total of a basketball game; you called in the wager PERFECTLY AWARE the game had started long ago. You wagered on the game to go OVER, based on the high score to that point; but then the game lost its high scoring pace and you ended up stuck with a bad wager. You then wanted Lenny to refund your wager.
If this premises are correct:
1. You took the over on that wager, led by the fact that the 1st quarter had a high score. At the moment you thought you had picked a winner.
2. You knew very well the written rule about past-posting; but yet you still went ahead and made that wager. And there are no questions you didn't know the rules, for you have been quoting it for months now.
3. For your misfortune and despite of having the advantage of betting on a game it had already started, the score landed UNDER.
Then -and this is as I see it- you are responsible for having made that wager. You should assume your responsibility and admit to the fact you were taking a shot.
As for Lenny and Cascade, I personally know LENNY. The guy is a gentleman, a gentleman who has eaten the bullet various times when a game didn't go the way he wanted. As he should. As I should. As you should too. He gave you the courtesy to take your action, even after the game was started. It was your TOUGH, BAD luck that kept you from winning that wager.
Now, you claim Lenny would have never honored the wager if the game had gone the other way. But that's an IF. A hypothetical situation that DID not happen. If you ask me, Lenny would have eaten the wager. But I only say that because I know the guy and I know he's a honest, hard-working man; a man that would not risk the product of many years of hard work forging a reputation over $660.

Geesh, I can't believe I agree with Jimmy on one item but he has a point regarding the relationship regarding some of the mods and sportsbooks here. May come off too close for some posters and fine with others. Can't help but remember Mark Del and Bill from NAB when I see this sometimes. I don't see the pillars of offshore really come in here and "yuck it up" like some other books, not saying I wish that fate on any of those books but where is the line drawn?

To be totally honest, i don't believe it happened. If it did, my opinion would be based on what the time frame was.
Was it before, or after, Jim called Lenny a thief 500 times in the forums..Not just here, but, MW, MadJacks, etc.
May not be the brightest thing to say, but, given the circumstances, after a certain point, it is almost understandable.
Still, i doubt it happened. Just as i doubt Jim has a dog named brownie, or drinks anything more expensive than Old Milwaukee..

By the way even though I think Beanny was in the wrong here he brought up a valid point, when does a person being a "stand up guy" equate to not following the posted rules they list. If anybody is at more fault here it's the person that left the freaking line up minutes after the game was underway. Don't fall asleep at the wheel and these type thing can be avoided!
