Mu season is far from over. They can easily win the north and play 5 average big 12 teams to finish the season. I dont even think they have to win them all to play in the Big 12 championship. I think they get another shot at texas where they will most likely lose again. But they still have something to play for.

Yes, they will win the North, no doubt. However, this team thought they were going to play for all the marbles and Chase was a Heisman guy.

Isn't Crabtree hurt and TTU unsure about how much he'll be able to play?

Texas Tech doesn't have a kicker worth a damn. That is reason enough to worry about them.

Texas Tech needs to make a statement in this game. They know they have to play both Texas and Oklahoma so I think they will be scoring at will to earn them bcs points. Plus Mike Leach is ruthless when he gets the lead unlike his incredibly overweight counterpart Mangino.

Do you really think the pollsters will look back at how much Texas Tech beat Kansas by if they go on and beat Texas and OU? Hands down, if a team comes out of the Big 12 championship undefeated they will play in the BCS title game, see Texas, they beat 2 top notch teams in the big 12 already and are #1 because of those 2 games, not because they beat Arkansas by 50.

This is good stuff. How many people are thinking this exact way? Shoving Kansas aside like this is the easiest money ever made. I'd stop right at 20 units, you don't want to lose anymore than that. :103631605
LOL....so im not the only one thinking....SUCKER BET!....I mean come on theyre begging for people to take texas tech here....dont underestimate the jayhawks, they play well @ home.....Im taking Kansas, and i love that the public is pushing the line down for the sharps

You are DEAD WRONG about Tech being underrated. In fact, they are GROSSLY overrated. I just got done saying in GS's thread about how, at this time, EVERY SEASON, Tech goes into the Texas game (1st weekend in Nov) ranked in the top 15, and the game after the Texas game, Tech is GONE, out of the top 25. It's because they ALWAYS get exposed by even halfway decent teams. Their offense is way to gimmicky for even the most mid-level D-1 program. Kansas is going to beat them at home this weekend. Especially with a gimpy Crabtree. ALSO, you can bet your ass Tech will be caught looking ahead to huge showdown ESPN/ GAMEDAY possibility type of game w/ Texas the next weekend. GL.

This is a trap line IMO. Not saying TTU can't win, but KU is a small fav for a reason. It's KU or possibly the over here in my mind.

Tex Tech 7-0 start has come against a weak schedule incl 2 FCS teams, next 4 will be an eye opener for Red Raiders starting w/ KANSAS, TX, OK ST., OKLA.... preseason indication was jayhawks favored by -9.5, now down to -3.5 ...KU -1 is good value...

Im on the Jayhawks and the Fat Man -1

2 loss team favorite at home against an undefeated top 10 team. Interesting huh?

Play but don't go overboard. Bottom line both posses weak defenses and Reesing has been turnover prone more so than Harrell.

Think before you bet.....too much that is

Reminds me of last weeks BYU vs TCU line. Also tech has been struggling last 2 weeks. Tech was losing to A&M 23 to 20 at the half last week, one of the bottom teams in the big 12.

Kansas has two losses against the Top 15 in USF and Oklahoma both on the road so it's like they lost to some crap teams. They should have beat USF, but they shit the bed in the 2nd half and they couldn't stop Oklahoma in the 4th quarter. If Texas Tech played their schedule they would have two losses too. Don't fall for the trap Kansas wins this game.

The Pokes are anything but overrated. The Horns are going to have the game of their season and so are my Sooners for Bedlam.

What you all don't know realize is that Mike Leach personally picked a new PK, right outta the stands. He has good "trajectory" on his kicks. That alone makes me lean toward the Red Raiders.

Texas Tech special teams coach Clay McGuire said Tuesday that kicker Matt Williams will be given consideration to kick extra points and field goals this week, a day after he was cleared to participate this season. Tech’s choices at kicker for Saturday’s game at Kansas are freshman Donnie Carona or Williams, McGuire said.
Williams came onto the Red Raiders’ radar during their Sept. 20 game against Massachusetts when he made a 30-yard field goal during a between-quarters promotion.
He was invited to join the team the following week, though Tech coach Mike Leach thought he would have to sit out the season. Williams transferred to Tech from Tarleton State, where he made a brief attempt to walk on but never kicked in a game.
According to Tech officials, Williams was granted a one-time exception to the NCAA transfer rule because he was neither recruited by nor ever on scholarship at Tarleton, facts that required confirmation by the Tarleton athletic department. That enabled him to be eligible immediately at Tech.

I'm not so sure.

By the oddsmakers' numbers, KU should be a 6.5-point favorite. Either the oddsmakers are sure that the betting public's perception is off by 10+ points (in favor of TTU), or they're begging for KU money.

If one judges by this thread, the public loves KU, and perhaps the trap's set for the KU bettors.
