Amazing responses here. If this was instead white 110 pound women, would he have the same attitude? Response has to always being proportional.
Even if you think the lady is at fault, these officers get paid lots of money because they are supposed to deescalate not escalate situation. This guy and large portion of the police are just straight out bullies who love power. Police work for the public not the other way around. Nature of their job is they are going to get people who have attitude and show hostility. That doesn't give them the right to physically abuse citizens.
Poor pre-screening. This guy should have never made it past training.

Hard to ignore his comments, and not consider his thoughts/feelings might have impacted his behavior.
She gave him some attitude, but he escalated to body-slamming in a hurry.
He asks King if she believes racism goes both ways, and she says, "I do," but "I believe that the Caucasian class has more supremacy over black people, just to be honest. They have more rights." She adds that a lot of people are “afraid of black people."
Spradlin then asks her why she thinks a lot of people are afraid of black people, and King replies, "That's what I want to clear out."
Spradlin then says, "I can give you a really good idea why it might be that way -- violent tendencies. And I want you to think about that. I'm not saying anything. I'm not saying it's true. I'm not saying I can prove it or nothing. But 99 percent of the time, when you hear about stuff like that, it's the black community that's being violent. That's why the white people are afraid, and I don't blame them."
He later adds, "By no means am I saying that there is no racism, because I know there is and everybody knows there is. Black people tend to be violent and that’s why a lot of white people are afraid, and I don’t blame them."
w-thumbs!^I say put her in the clink and toss the key into an ocean! w-thumbs!^
Austin prosecutors disagreed with you. They dropped the resisting arrest charges against the woman and are now seeing if they're able to put the cop in front of a grand jury: http://www.mystatesman.com/news/news/local/violent-arrest-of-teacher-caught-on-video-officers/nr3W6/
cop worked me over one night in Hartford CT
Yeah Pete, it really cracks me up the way people are surprised about how cops operate. A good half or more of those blues are fukkin bullies from day one. They use their frontal lobes and figure out "shit, I can be a cop and get paid to tell people what to do, and if they don't listen I get to pound them out...hell yeah! that's the job for me"! Even fukkin half wits like this stupid twat in the video will figure out eventually how the real cop game is played. This new world where everybody has a camera is really making it tough for the bullies though. Where the hell are they supposed to go and work? You know I have a photo around here somewhere of me after a good old fashioned copper tune up on the streets of Hartford, CT from about 1978. I should dig it up and post it. I look like like I got about 1000 bee stings on my noggin!
Corner of Main and Park Street. About 6am. They did not like that 2 long haired white boys were walking around there at that time. At least the black cop grabbed and pulled his partner off me before he really hurt me. I have deserved beatings from cops in my life but they never caught me. but this was totally unprovoked. I was polite and respectful at all times. It surprised the hell out of me. He just snapped.
