Bubba never authored a middle class tax cut. In 1993, he raised taxes on all Americans by raising the gasoline tax. He even raised taxes on "wealthy retirees", increasing the taxes on Social Security benefits for single people earning over 25k and married couples earning over 32k.

Newt authored the tax cutting budget of 1997, and stuffed it down Bubba's throat.

You cannot increase spending, cut taxes on middle America and balance the budget on the backs of somebody else, just not happening.

Yeah, they're called the high end sections in most communities and comprise less than 5% of the population.

Median income in the USA makes clear that $112,000 adjusted gross income (which is likely about $140-150K gross) is enjoyed by well under 10% of wage earning households.

In fact, the lovely SheBar and myself have NEVER had that good a year, though we just enjoyed our ninth consecutive year of increased year end revenues - with 2007 being in the low 90K range.


Wow...come a long way since our first year in Florida (1998) when we only raked about $55K.
