Generali Ladies Linz R16

Scheduled start time : 6:30 AM PST

Alize Cornet vs Agnieszka Radwanska

My pick is Alize Cornet + 5 GAMES

Odds : - 116 and - 123

Where : pinnaclesports

11.95 units to win 10 units

Don't understand where this handicap is coming from , both are similar players . Cornet struggled with her form this season but her recent showings have been solid . Watched Radwanska's match yesterday and she has looked very tired to me . Lets have a closer look : this will be her 12th match in 17 days , travelling from Japan to China and to Austria now after playing the finals in China on sunday where she got trashed 6-2 6-4 by Kuznetsova and has shown signs of fatigue there as well . There will be a lot of breaks in this match and I see no way for Radwanska to win this 6-2 6-4 or 6-3 6-3 with her weak serve she will get broken back a lot after breaking Cornet .

Scheduled start time : 1:00AM EST

J.Knowle/J.Melzer vs W.Moodie/D.Norman

My pick is W.Moodie/D.Norman to win and J.Knowle/J.Melzer to win 2:1 sets

Odds : + 160 and + 165 / + 333

Where : 5dimes / bet365

5 units to win 8.12 units / 1u euros to win 3.33 u euros ( 5 regular $ units )

Moodie/Norman win = $812 - $149 = + $663
Moodie/Norman lose 1:2 sets = money back
Melzer/Knowle win 2:0 sets = - $649

In my opinion this is atleast a 50/50 match but more like 55/45 in favor of Moodie and Norman . Surely anything can happen in doubles with no advantage rules but I feel like they are the better team . Melzer and Knowle have just won the tournament last week , all matches have gone to a deciding 3rd set and they had to save a lot of matchpoints , out of their last 9 matches in Asia 8 have gone to a decider ( played to 10 points ) . This should favor Moodie and Norman if it goes to a decider , both are very tall with strong serves . No guarantee when it comes to doubles but matchup and courts speak for the big men duo , thought odds would be around evens or Moodie/Norman as small favorite .
Like I've said out of last 9 matches Melzer and Knowle played 8 have gone to a deciding 3rd set , they have won 7 times in a 3rd set .
Moodie and Norman serve well enough to ATLEAST win one set here .
I have Moodie and Norman winning this match but this is a great insurance to have if this goes to a third set .

Didn't look too bad at 6-4 6-6 and 6-6 points with just 2 points to close out the match , lost the point on their serve 6-7* and the second set 6-8 .
Started the decider with a won point on Melzer's serve and that was the only point they managed to win on return :-/ , 8 points and 100 % 1st serve in the decider killed it . Money back on the bet with 2:1 sets Knowle/Melzer insurance but thought it was looking good going into the 2nd tiebreak , Moodie and Norman couldn't find a 1st serve anymore to save their life tho .

  • Ljubicic will not be able to keep up with Nadal , he might keep it close in one set but Nadal is way too solid for the old man .

  • Both Olaru and Pennetta like clay courts but there is huge skill difference between them on any surface .

  • Chuang and Raymond both great doubles players , Chang and Zalameda have break even doubles stats and I cant see any other result here but something like 6-3 6-2 .

  • Last one might be closer than the first 3 as the odds suggest but in the end not only are Srebotnik and Grönefeld the better players in singles but they are also better in doubles and have stronger serves by far .

Crazy match , so many chances in the first set , always a break up to get broken from several gamepoints back to 40-40 and broken . Second set was more like I've thought it would go , nice comeback from 0-4 hole in the decider .@):)

  • Youzhny should be too much for a clay courter like Zeballos , especially with Mikhail playing solid lately and now at home with good support from the crowd .

  • Same case with Johannson , guy has top 3 serve in ATP and if not all his injuries he could have been a top 20 player . Playing at home against a clay courter Luczak who wont get many looks on JoJo's serve with those courts playing pretty quick in worst case Johannson wins this in one tiebreak and 6-4 .

  • 2 almost local girls against much weaker players . Kim Clijsters has 26-1 singles and 4-0 doubles record in this tournament . She will use this match to warm up for singles competition but still cant see them losing . Their opponents have just lost to M. Shaughnessy/R. Vinci last week 6-3 6-2 on same surface and if nothing goes wrong there should be a similar result here . Wouldn't be surprised if Kim managed to win both singles and doubles tournament here .
