Rate them higher on this surface than the brazilian duo .

India rests Olympic medal hopes on Paes, Bhupathi

New Delhi: Star tennis duo of Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi have kept aside their differences and come together to enhance India's medal prospects in the Beijing Olympics but whether the ageing duo can recreate their magic remains to be seen.

Paes and Bhupathi, who captured the public imagination being the former world number one doubles pair, had missed a medal by a whisker in the Athens Games and would look better their performance to land on podium next month.

That Paes had won a bronze medal in 1996 at the Atlanta Games further strengthens the nations faith on the duo, who have a superb on-field chemistry.

The 35-year-old Paes, who has resolved his differences with Bhupathi for the time-being in the interest of the nation, believes "on-court chemistry is something we don't have to worry about" but they needed to concentrate of their off-field "camaraderie".
"As far as tennis goes, it is of a very high level," he said in the build up to the Olympics.

Both cashed , even tho Na Li made me sweat when she lost the first set .

14 August

Wager Type : Doubles

Beijing Olympic

Start time : scheduled for 5:15AM (EST)

Andreev/Davydenko vs Clement/Llodra

My pick is Clement/Llodra to win

Odds : - 185 & - 182

Bookmaker : 5dimes & gamebookers

4.625 units to win 2.5 units & 5 units to win 2.75 units

Rate french men very high on this fast surface . Andreev and Davydenko are decent but frenchies are better as a team . Interesting fact that russian duo lost in the 2nd rd at Athens to Jonathan Erlich/Andy Ram who went out in straight sets here against Clement/Llodra in the first round .

Aspelin/Johansson or Fyrstenberg/Matkowski wait for the winners in the semis so if french team wins today they have a great chance to reach the finals as both teams in semis would be beatable .

Legg Mason Tennis Classic Doubles

Start time : scheduled for 8:15PM (EST)

Eric Butorac/James Cerretani vs Bruno Soares/Kevin Ullyett

My pick is Bruno Soares/Kevin Ullyett to win

Odds : - 175

Bookmaker : 5dimes

4.37 units to win 2.5 units

Second time they play together , they won tournament on grass in Nottingham earlier this year , Soares also reached French Open 1/2 this year with his partner Vemic .
Here they easily beat Grosjean/Mahut in the first round .

Their opponent are OK but nothing special , they are playing for the first time together in tournament .

Ullyett is the most experienced player in doubles out there with Jonas Bjorkman , he is old but guy can still play .

They are here to play and win because none of them is from the US , if they showed up just for paycheck they would lose in the first round so I am confident they will give full effort which should be enough .

Simon Aspelin/Thomas Johansson vs Clement/Llodra

My pick is Clement/Llodra to win

Odds : - 178 & - 180

Bookmaker : pinnaclesports & 5dimes

4.45 units to win 2.5 units & 4.5 units to win 2.5 units

Riding em while they are hot , should beat the swedish duo here , Aspelin is decent doubles player but on fast courts he isn't same level as frenchies in my book . Interesting fact tho that Aspelin/Johansson won every first set 7:6 in their 3 previous matches .

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOO
