Akphi we live in dangerous times. It's not a stretch to say communication between gov't agencies and the president is constant, especially with planes being shot out of the sky. Some blame lack of coordination between the FBI and CIA as a reason for failure to prevent 9/11.

David wasn't the ban for travel from American carriers? Bloomberg flew El Al airlines out of NYC to Israel. It was a passenger airline.

That is correct. Only American carriers were banned.

Why would the FAA check in with the White House? Is the White House supposed to know more about airline safety than the FAA?

People that blame Bush for 9/11 think so....

I read somewhere they said a rocket hit within a mile of the airport.

Somewhere, one who apologizes but can't remember where they read it. Most be fiction then.

Probably read it in restroom stall, next to call for a good time.

Actually the Wall Street Journal. You should apologize.

The U.S. barred flights to Israel's main international airport outside Tel Aviv for at least 24 hours after a rocket from Gaza landed nearby, prompting Israel to angrily brand the ban a boon to Hamas's efforts to isolate the country.

Apologize, for what? Like I said you read it in or from a bathroom stall. That's where one might find that rag.
