Why does Exxon/Mobil get tax subsidies when they earn hundreds of millions every year. Form of corporate welfare? I think so.

Didn't they just pay something like 27 billions dollars this quarter alone?

Exxon paid 30 billion in 2007, 28 billion in 2006 and 11 billion in the first quarter of this year

Not that I don't believe you but how 'bout a site and it would be nice to know what they received in subsidies.
I know you believe that raising taxes slows the economy but it has been proven that at a certain point (which we have passed) lowering taxes has a point of diminishing returns. Trickle down doesn't work, regardless of what Saint Ronnie thought.
If you cut taxes on the middle and lower income levels those people will certainly spend the money. It isn't proven that lowering taxes on the rich stimulates anything but their portfolios.

Then ask yourself this. Do you think it's fair for people making $2,870,000+ to be getting the largest tax cut? Sure, they pay the most taxes, but they are the least in need of a tax cut, yet that's what McCain is offering...

So why are you or the government entitled to more of their money?

Exxon gets tax subs due to E&P and different incentives. Trust me, they pay more in taxes than any other person or company, with exception to BRKA.

Are you an economist by any chance? How would YOU know if we have " passed the point" where "trickle down doesn't work"?

Only poor people spend money? Rich people don't buy boats, properties, art work, cars, and Jets? Rich people don't invest? I'd love to take you to work someday to show you otherwise.
