I have never in my career bet action points. To each his own I guess. Good luck either way. I never played with options in the stock market either. I prefer knowing fixed figures on outcomes. To me the unknown, or the possible calamity outweighs the risk. But glad you profit from them.

My individual 6-team pleaser combos pay 300-1, & they're backed up with 11 point teaser holding all 8 combos-- as the games unfold i will reverse-hedge & likely middle-tease/parlay any particularly-vulnerable games w/ their 2nd halves hooked to others...
In other words, i have backed up the backup to the original: and I will get profits out of the whole series-- much less than Fish, & in a different manner i know.... but:
there's a place for them.
I submit that there are no absolutes: for every tradidional rule-- a favorable exception / scenario pops up every so often: just like teasing baseball, college fb, baskets, all 2nd halves in general-- may not be advisable(esp. when compared to NFL) in most cases, there are many instances where it's helpful to avail oneself of them.

thanx to the vaunted NFL parity, none of the teased numbers--original & even later-added 2nd halves hooked to reverse-hedges-- have failed to come in...

Normally I'd come back-- to lock in further profits-- with a reverse-teaser hedge on NE(hooked to MNF or another sport, college fb, etc.) that to boot would also have a chance to middle. But since even a reverse pleaser has a chance to also middle, i may look for a bigger payoff instead.
