Not true. ED was smart enough to not got to MSU, as Izzo would have sat his ass on the bench for all those turnovers. JB keeps letting him play.

Does anyone get called for traveling more than ED?

Not possible it's probably 50% of the time he puts it on the floor. Stop shuffling kid.

syracuse just not taking good shots, and not taking care of the ball very well to start

I feel like this is the coaches fault. If JB would just bench some players for taking bad shots maybe they would take the hint. He should tell his players, you better not go two consecutive possessions without putting the ball in the post or I will bench you.

he has his favorites. always has. Mello, and McNamara NEVER ever were yelled at. Flynn is starting to get into that categeory. Harris, and Devo on the other hand get screamed at left and right. obviously it doesn't matter.

watch for a big second half from devo. he knows its on ESPN and he needs his points

I dont agree with DV's criticism of Florida's zone. It's clear Florida doesn't have the athletes to cover the cuse guards man-to-man. Plus the zone is just asking those guards of cuse to take more bad shots from the permitter.

Both these teams looked pretty fucking average. I guess its early.

Cuse I think has lots of potential, but I'm disappointed in UF, thought they should have played better defense and was looking for them to drive the ball more and get to the line. I think both teams are legit sweet 16 contenders but nothing exceptional.

I don't think Syracuse could have played much worse and they handled them fairly easily. I think they will play MUCH better tomorrow and give it to the winner of the next game. Devendorf had a terrible game, Flynn didn't play all that great, and Arinze could have played much better. Harris can also play much better. Now that they have this game out the way watch out tomorrow

Same old Cuse. Still a good win though. Add Donte Green to the list of players Boeheim never yelled at. And Donte took the dumbest shots ever.

Calling out the cuse bias, I like SU but UF didn't play that great either.

no UF didn't play well, but other than Calathes (who is a stud), and Tyus I am not that impressed. Werner is ok, but limited. same with Parsons. What the hell happened to Hodge?

I agree 100% with everything you just said. I really thought Hodge would of developed more, he's no better this year than he was two years ago. I was hoping he could get a good 3 pt shot to spread the floor to give Calathes more space to drive but Hodge doesn't do anything. He can only catch and shoot. Calathes is the only one who even moves without the ball, this offense is bad.

That was probably the ugliest crawl to 89 points I've ever seen. They didn't seem to really gel at any one point. Add to that a sub 60% FT% (sigh, what else is new) and 16 turnovers...No offense to Florida, but we really should have easily put 100+ on the board.

I really wish we could can the zone - we just don't have the length and these guys are all built for M2M. Problem is...Paul and Kong probably wouldn't grab the boards they do in M2M. Not to mention they're just too wild (in a good way) and the spacing of the zone helps keep them out of foul trouble. I could just imagine Paul trying to draw a charge from Jeff Adrien but instead - knocking him out and then jumping in the air and flailing his arms.

These guys have yet to put a full game together yet...and I really feel bad for the team that plays us when they do (hopefully against Kansas!) Unfortunately, as noted - we can just as easily turn around and look like complete fools out there. We've legitimately got 6-7 guys that can put up 10-15 points a night - but also have 6-7 guys who can make 10-15 knucklehead decisions in any given game.

Games like the one against Richmond and tonight against Florida are ones we would have dropped last season. We're going to be on the edge of our seats the entire season but this team really has an unlimited ceiling.

exactly. now i know i'm not the only one who thought that was the worst 89 points anyone has ever scored. just as you said our potential is unlimited, but we may have the stupidest team in the country. Harris is not good for 1, but more like 4 STUPID plays a game. Same goes for Devendorf. If we could maximize every possession we could be scary good. I would like to think that we would improve as the season goes on, but Harris has been playing for 3 years now, and Devendorf is in his 4th. I think if they were going to cut out the stupid shit it would have happened 2 years ago. Still, I think we are a very dangerous team that can blow out anyone on any given night.

No need to re-create a thread for tonight's game as Syracuse is +3/+3.5 again for tonight's game.

I see yet another Syracuse W. Everyone knows this Kansas team is stripped - and they really have no outside game. I expect a tight zone that dares em to shoot the three all game forcing a handful of dumb shots. AO struggles a bit with Aldrich but our depth and shooters put this one away easily down the stretch.

Cuse 81 Kansas 78 ;)
