Today Autobahn Sports is on the New England Patriots -7 vs. the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl XXXIX as we present our 2005 Game of the Year. Head Coach Bill Belichick will be leading his New England Patriots in their 3rd Super Bowl in 4 years today against Andy Reid and the NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles. That experience should come into play on football's biggest stage. The reasons behind our backing of the New England Patriots are simple. The Patriots and Eagles simply played in different leagues this year. The AFC was a far superior conference to the NFC all season long and we feel that there are 4-5 teams in the AFC who would beat the Eagles on a neutral field with an injured Terrell Owens. The fact that the Eagles were 0-4 ATS vs. AFC opponents this season only strengthens this argument. Meanwhile, the Patriots were 4-0 ATS against teams from the NFC this year. During their run through the AFC playoffs, the Patriots proved that they could do it all. First they held the Indianapolis Colts, the #1 offense in the NFL ,and one of the league's greatest offenses of all time, to just 3 points. One week later the Patriots put up 41 points on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the NFL's #1 defense. While the Eagles were impressive in their playoff games as well, wins over Minnesota and Atlanta simply do not compare to beating Indianapolis and Pittsburgh. Most sportsbooks are offering this game at -7 and we feel that this is an exceptional play. Some of the members of the Autobahn team have chosen to buy the hook and take this game to -6.5 as our members play all of our picks and this is our most substantial bet of the year. We are not necessarily advising our clients to buy the hook in this game, but we do want to mention it as something for everyone to look at. However, we feel that this game will be won by New England by 14-17 points so it should not be a factor. Play on the New England Patriots and enjoy the big game. Good luck.
