When the Las Vegas venue was being built in 2017, construction worker Gerard DeCosta buried a Chiefs flag under the field, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. By burying the flag, DeCosta presumably was trolling the Las Vegas Raiders, one of the Chiefs' AFC West rivals.
