I believe that sometimes the game total has no value at the posted level based upon the play during the 1st half.
I find that the Suns play slows down when they rely upon Shaq's scoring. Shaq was doing well in the 1st half and I felt they would rely upon him in the 2nd half as well. I felt this would lead to him get tired toward the end of the game. I've also seen the Suns shoot poorly later in the game when this happens resulting in unders, especially when SA is also not shooting well.
I guess the 3rd quarter did not play this out. However, the extra energy expended in the 3rd quarter lead to lower scoring in the 4th.
