Hopefully all you Smart-Alecks out there took Bondi's Best Bet that I posted yesterday which was an outright winner with Wyoming...didn't even need the darn 6 points. Here is his 2* NFL LOCK of the DAY: DETROIT (-9) over Carolina 1 P.M. ET
After just four weeks, the jury is still out, but as of right now the worst QB of the 2023 rookie class is Bryce Young. The former Alabama stud and 2021 Heisman Trophy winner looks small and uncomfortable in the pocket. He ranks 33rd out of 33 in QB Rating (24.9), 31 out of 33 in EPA passing (3.6) and he has led the Panthers to just one offensive drive that resulted in a touchdown if you remove garbage time. As a result, Carolina is off to its first 0-4 start to a season since 2010 and if not for a classic back-door cover against the Saints they would be 0-4 ATS. This week, Carolina heads to Detroit to face a surging Lions team that has already won at Kansas City and Green Bay this season. The Carolina defense is getting gashed on the ground, giving up over 130 yards rushing in every game this season while ranking 29th in the league in yards allowed per carry and that doesn’t bode well this week against a Lions offense that runs the ball an average of 33 times per game, the fourth-highest rate in the league. The Panthers simply can’t play from behind. The Lions are a profitable 11-6 against the spread under Dan Campbell and 6-2 ATS at home. Predicated score = 31-13.
