thanks to all of you who pointed out that I needed 75 picks.
Here is what happened there. Of course I was feeling embarrassed and in a panic for a few moments around that time of the Kansas pick.....I did in the back of my mind know that there was a minimum pick rule, Journey always has one and I knew one existed.... BUT that went back a couple months, I had not reviews the rules in 2 months, plus a heads up for all contest members was never mentioned in any pick thread or update thread................... but I really had been thinking that I was making ABOUT as many picks as my main rivals and with the tourney I could reach whatever mark it was.
That day I played Kansas (and put it in right on the mark), I was going to play them as a single pick (not knowing that was CRITICAL to get in at least one, I just liked them and was going to play them). I was going to play them late and post it late so as to not steer anyone one way or the other. As I was posting, I think in the Rx horse forum, time did get late but when I posted I felt like I was 12:59 or 1:00 worst case case..................................then my heart sunk as I saw a couple EMAILS that suggested I might be done..........I sunk really deep.... when there was a rapid flurry of EMAILS that I could not figure out right away....I could not process them right away........I am a contest vetren and did I just phuck up in some way............without time to find and review the actual contest rules I responed in a panic not for sure knowing what was being said...that is when I tossed out there that my missing picks would just be losses (I had not reviewed the rules which clearly say no Id be eliminated)...................Journey then a couple minutes later said all was fine I did nothing wrong as I needed one pick and did get it in....then I felt relief!!......then a few sarcastic comments by others and myself, a few funny comments, a few comments making fun of myself.........and for sure a few obnixous comments.....and that was that......meant no disrespect and I will give that Barbaro loving guy (forget his name now) a free Mulligen despite him not wanting one
After that it was just get in those 8 plays weekly, trytrytry to stay ahead of Mic (who always seemed to go 2-0 just often enough so I could not relax).
so in the end it was a sweet victory, my first Journeyman contest title.
thanks again for Micelli for being a gentleman and conceding this thing, he did not go hunting for the hanging chad.....

Glad you summized that man....I really was wondering, and I will be honest with you, I was hoping like hell you would make a play that day by the deadline!
Last thing I wanted to do was rule you out because you were one short....I was watching you that day , i kept thinking 'What the hell is he doing', why is he not making a play, I knew you should have known the rules, I assumed you were playing the ultimate strategy,,,,,,,but around 2:50 of that day I started to think 'uh oh, he really doesn't know'....I checked back and saw a 3 pm sharp post and thought, 'well he knew all along' then I saw your replies and realized that you didn't!
I had you both within my reach and was about to take over 1st place when that damn loose ball last second layup pushed of that game I had -2, why they didn't come down and take a 3 I will still never understand...from that point on I got no breaks, even the OSU game where you had opposite at -7 and +7, i would have gained a game on one of you, and then the damn game pushes LOL....from there it was more of the same, lots of tough late losses.
Oh well it was fun! congrats....you earned it....congrats to Micelli too who showed a lot of class today.
