Actually, that's a timely comment. Perhaps this cop is worried about testing positive for meth and marijuana, so he invents this story to frame some kid.
you are right, I certainly did not mean if it the kid is innocentWhatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? One guy has this baby-face kid doing 10 years. No wonder the demagogue message rings true.
No sense whatsoever. First he's working at Subway, earning pennies. Why would some kid waste his expensive drugs on some cop? Second, the kid doesn't look like he's ever even seen meth, he's got pink baby skin. On top of that, "THC"? What the fuck form of THC are they talking about? I'm sure this kid can get his hands on a bag of pot, but the vagueness makes it sound like an extract (I mean is the kid going to throw buds in his drink?), which is much less common and more expensive for a Subway employee. Not likely for some kid to have. I call bullshit. Hell, didn't we just have a thread on a false-positive drug test, where we talk about the failure rate being over 20%? What about other people at the Subway? Or perhaps that Cop is a filthy pig and he had his reasons to retaliate on some kid.
Unless it is on video or the kid confesses I call bullshit on this. Cop could have been high on his own during shift and took a lunch break at Subway. Got a little too high and crashed his vehicle and blaming some kid. Doesn't say if he crashed his squad car. Article kind of vague.
THC is what the blood is tested for. I'm guessing the officer's blood was tested and came back positive for THC.
Right. Thanks for the education. Hahaha
The reason I was scratching my head is, how did this youngster supposedly get THC into an officer's drink undetected? Like Lee said, it's not like he dropped a big ole bud in his Sierra Mist. I'm calling bullshit that this scrub was carrying around a vial of liquid THC.
Also as Lee astutely pointed out, test results from the officer's blood mean fuck-all.
And this happened in Utah......weed in any form isn't legal in Utah, so unless he traveled to another state to buy liquid THC, or he made it himself, I can't see how this happened. The arrest came pretty fast tho......so I'm assuming there had to be video of it.
GB you have always come across as very stern and unforgiving. We are spinning 1,000 mph in outer space. Stop taking shit so seriously, man. If we put everyone in jail who didn't obey our laws there would only be about 20% of the worlds population not in jail. Relax dude.
Law enforcement officers made just over 700,000 arrests on marijuana-related charges in 2014, according to data released by the FBI. Of that total, 88.4 percent — or about 619,800 arrests — were made for marijuana possession alone, a rate of about one arrest every 51 seconds over the entire year.
(This is nuts)
Article today says the officer received the lemonade from the drive thru window. Guy arrested denies spiking the drink but admits he handled the drink.
pretty quick to judge?
what if the kid is found innocent?
