As far as I know the sudden death term is a football term meaning the first team to get scored on in overtime suddenly loses (or dies in a football sense). The same could be said in OT hockey. Over time basketball really doesn't have a sudden death scenario. Baseball can have one if it is the home team that takes the lead in extra innings. The visitor can take the lead in extra innings but still must retire the home team without being tied or beaten in the bottom of the extra inning. I think it was Curt Gowdy who coined the phrase "sudden victory "which is really more appropriate but for some reason not as dramtic as sudden death.
Why am I still waiting for my polo shirt from having the correct answer to the last question (WSEX) last fall? And why do I have to come up with a stupid question to get a shirt I've been waiting for four months?

Yes. I sent him an e-mail and wanted it gifted to SSI. I had hoped he would receive it by last Christmas. All specific information including name, address, and size of the shirt was provided. Still waiting.
