There are some posts (or parts of posts) in these threads that are FULLY as far from the REAL WORLD of sports betting as anything on the Steve Stevens show. Funny to see people make remarks that they think are critical of Stevens..... when really they are branding themselves as children or morons.

I will let everyone make their own determination of which posts I am referring to?

This show has been talked about on this form for over month and i watched for the first time Wed nite b/c i flipped to cnbc to see if the hockey game was still in OT. I actually watched this week's and last week's show and really enjoyed the show!!

For those who've played for a while, we all know this show is a bunch of b/s and we can nitpick the hell out of this show. But from an entertainment standpoint, its really enjoyable.

I love how a guy has 30k on a game and isnt watching or rarely checking score. Or Tyson's advice on why the KY/Miss st game is gonna go over. Or giving a necklace worth 14k for an "i'm sorry" present. Hell, i was happy last week when i received a $25 giftcard from my boss.

We all know this show is scripted but it makes it enjoyable. I've sat through countless MTV reality shows with my wife and seen the same shit.

I actually set my dvr and want to see more of these episodes.

He also boasted "You can't go into a book and bet $20,000 on a game with Steve Stevens. They just don't let that happen"

That was quite funny

What's funny is Darin was telling his "client" that it was of paramount importance to buy a half point in the Denver-SD game...but it was supposed to be an "absolute blowout" winner. Why would a half point matter so much if it's going to be a blowout? I don't think this tool even knows what a blowout win is.

The Louisville back door cover reaction was hilarious. "Why the hell would UConn try to score?" Yeah, I've never seen a team who was down big try to make the final score look a little more more respectable either. That's just unheard of.

And how many professional handicappers do you know who don't watch the games? Ya, I think I'll go bet tens of thousands on a play, then just go golfing or hang out at a strip club instead. That'd be like a hedge fund manager investing millions in a stock, then instead of looking for hedging opportunities, he decides to spend the day getting a haircut and shave.

Lets see if he can make it through the entire season without giving out one single dog to any client. I wish Steve Stevens posted here...I'd even buy one of his stupid pick packages just for the comedy of seeing everyone gang up on him.

Darin is the biggest idiot I've ever seen. Nobody who means anything at vegas sportsbooks has ever heard of this guy before this show. How he scammed cnbc into this is a miracle. They really should have given it to stu feiner..at least stu has been scamming for 3 decades...darin is new.

I think he said he likes lville -28 because the new uconn coach sucks. Also made a crack about tbay kicking a fg down 11..when of course it was the right move. Never seen such a fool.

Probably because either the clerks would be laughing too hard to take the action, or they'd be worried that this a-hole stole the money from someone.

Another good quote from his tool protege: "We're going to spend the day at a strip club. Why? I like looking at p*ssy!" Maybe you ought to try looking in the mirror sometime...

I never knew the Golden Nugget doesn't charge an extra 10% for half points either. Fascinating! I'll have to go down there next time I'm in Vegas, and I'm sure they'll let me just keep buying as many half points as I like without changing the vig...

I think the employees of VIP sports should have read the RX college football thread. Even if they lost the game, at least they could have read an intelligent write up and sounded halfway intelligent other than saying "their coach sucks", "its the only game of the nite" or other stupid general quotes.

Also, why buy half a point to give 8.5 and not 9. I wonder how many times someone has pushed on a football game when giving 9?

How about the part where Stevens calls the guy telling him he should have bought Denver down to 7 and tells him to take his ticket back up there and buy the 1/2 point! I guess they were going to trade his Denver -7.5 ticket for one that said Denver -7 or something.

That's probably the extent of his knowledge. "The UConn coach sucks." Good thing you're charging clients big bucks for that kind of in-depth analysis! Never mind that Darin probably couldn't have named the old coach or the new coach anyway...and I'd bet against him being able to even name one player on each D1 squad. That's what happens when you don't watch the games.

I'm starting to lose count of the idiotic quotes this show has produced that prove this guy knows absolutely nothing about the games he recommends. Those statements stand out like blinking neon signs to anyone who actually follows games. The FG down by 11 was a good one. I remember watching the Pats-Panthers Super Bowl in a sports bar...the Panthers scored a TD and were down by 5, the missed the 2-pt conversion. Then they scored again to go up 1 and missed the next 2-pt conversion. I remember a guy in the bar screaming out "If it didn't work before, why try it twice?" Um, yeah. Little did I know at the time it was probably Steve Stevens doing the screaming.

Another good one. Next time I play a team +3 and the line moves up to +3.5, I guess I'll just take my ticket to the window and say "I don't want this one anymore because the line changed."

Too funny. Why do I watch this show? It only aggravates me. I see guys in the service section here at rx asking if anyone has steve stevens picks. There will be a huge segment of the betting public who will now pay this guy. That is the worst part...this show is gonna make him money and it doesn't matter how idiotic he looks to people who know about sports gambling.

All the guy is, is a con man salesman. You are right he couldn't name a single player. One of his reasons for taking a game was "so and so team is 1-4 ats and I don't think they are gonna start winning today. Huh?

Stevens play tonight... Dodgers ML

His reasoning for the lad play was that they won their previous game.. so they will win their next one for sure.

That and they were favored. Don't forget...the heavier the favorite, the better!

Too bad. Had I seen this earlier, I'd have thrown a unit on Arizona.

Another Steve Stevens Fade Winna.

He's now like 1-15 since being posted.

Son of a bitch!

Now I'm half tempted to buy plays from VIP and jump on the fade train...or maybe I could fade for free by just playing every dog on the board...
