he is a small 2 and won't be able to defend NBA 2's. If the team that drafts him has a big 1 then he can guard the opposing teams pt. guard otherwise he will get killed trying to defend a Chauncey or a Hamilton. However I do think that he can be a good player in the NBA.

He is twice as quick as chauncy billups and a handful of other guy's in the league. This alone will make him a good defender. Plus, if he is scoring 20 + pts per game and only giving up 12 -14 on def, that will help any team.imo.....

the cavaliers already have a player in gibson that brings more to the table than curry. and gibson's limitations are constantly exploited despite the fact that he is a dead-eye shooter.

not to mention there are plenty of all-AMERICANS that cant even cut it in the nba in todays game. steve logan was first team 5 years ago. he isnt even on the basketball map right now. morrison, for as good a player as he is and was before injury, struggled to adjust. point being, your weaknesses are exploited daily in the nba.

it should also be mentioned that curry was about 38% from the floor against duke-carolina-ucla this year.

The more I think about it the more idiotic this entire thread is. The title says Curry=Miller your thoughts? Well my thoughts are that is fucking insane. Anymore posts trying to say they are equal will get bashed unmercifully.

...and he's only a sophomore. He has 2 more years to put on some weight and work on his dribbling skills if he wants.

I think he'll make it onto somebody's bench.

Chill out.

Nobody is saying he'll be as good as Reggie, just that they may have similar styles of game.

Uh okay, if making a lot of treys makes them have similar types of games, then they are dead ringers. What a joke. Reggie far taller, far longer, far more athletic, far more clutch, far better defensively, far better rebounder, and has far more personality. Other than that Curry is his clone. What a stupid thread.

if Earl Boykins can make it in the NBA...so will Curry

earl boykins is an athletic freak for his size.
the strength he has on that frame to go with his quickness and ability to handle the ball are the reasons he can step onto an nba floor. he is a once-a-decade kind of player.

Curry is still only 20 years old as well. And more athletic than people are giving him credit for.

And Curry has at least 6 inches on him...probably 8 or 9

Boykins averaged 25 ppg his senior season shooting 47%. Curry has averaged 25 ppg his sophomore season shooting 49%. Not to mention lighting up GTown and Wisconsin, supposedly two of the best defensive teams in the country.

If Boykins can make it, Curry can make it.

boykins plays the point last I knew, and Curry cannot play point and is far too short and unathletic to guard NBA twos

You're trying to tell me that you thought Boykins could play in the NBA and guard someone like Shaun Livingston?

Curry is only 20 years old and has two more years to put on weight and improve his ball handling.

Theres no reason he won't make it.

if DAMON JONES can make the NBA...so can Curry.

I find it hilarious that the same people that were giving Davidson no shot to beat Gonzaga, GTown, or Wisconsin are saying Curry won't make it in the pros.

i guess you want to go down the road of semantics.

what does 'making it in the pros' mean?

damon jones has played for 10 nba teams and has a career average of about 6 points per game.

he was not drafted.

earl boykins has played for 8 nba teams and has a career scoring average of 9 points.

he was not drafted.

it all depends on what your criteria for 'making it' is.
both are collecting paychecks. boykins is more relevant than jones. both are liabilities when they play extended minutes.

I thought the thread was Curry=Miller, not can Curry have a cup of coffee in the NBA. My bad.

Had Davidson against the Zags and Badgers, but am guilty as charged on not thinking they could beat GTOWN.
