Davidson guard Stephen Curry has been red hot in the tournament. He's scored 70 points in the first two games of the tournament -- upset wins against Georgetown and Gonzaga. Combine that with a 30-point performance against Maryland in last year's tournament and Curry has scored 100 points in three tournament games.
So ... will he follow in his father Dell Curry's footsteps into the NBA?
Up until last weekend the general consensus was no. Scouts thought Curry was too small to be a 2-guard in the pros and lacked the handle and court vision to be a point guard. Combine that with his so-so athleticism and Curry's draft chances didn't seem all that good.
However, the tone has changed among scouts after last weekend's performances. Curry's ability to figure out defenses and absolutely torch them in the second half has scouts wondering if he's brilliant enough to overcome his physical limitations.
The evidence suggests that he might. This isn't the only time Curry has put up big numbers against big-name schools. He had 24 points against UNC, 20 against Duke and 29 against North Carolina State. However, he had just 15 points on 6-for-19 shooting against UCLA earlier in the season, and the aforementioned Duke game produced a season-high eight turnovers from Curry. Still, overall his performance against top competition has been more than solid.
I've yet to hear an NBA scout or GM place Curry as a solid first-rounder ... but, for the first time ever, I'm hearing his name mentioned as a potential late first-round pick. His shooting ability combined with his ultra-high basketball IQ should make him intriguing to a team looking for an intelligent scorer.

Let me tell you somthing you might not KNOW RF. He leads the NATION in three pt shots made this yr. He is a pure shooter without a doubt, if you know anything about talent. I meant that he has the making's to share the same benefits that reggie did, if you put him on the rt team. The guy can flat out shoot. His defense of play is not bad at all either. How many def awards did reggie win? What was his pt diffrential ? I also loiked reggie alot also by the way, this is why I was using him as an example.

Reggie Miller had 1 hell of an NBA career. I think it's a tad early to even be thinking about comparing him to Miller.
On the same note, if my team was down 3 and only had 1 shot to tie it up there isn't a man who ever lived that I would want shooting the ball other than Reggie Miller. That includes MJ, Bird, etc.. That guy was as clutch as they ever came. Knicks fans still have nightmares about his performances in the Garden.
