That makes the most sense. I always doubted the cop just shot him with his hands up. The dude fights the cop in his car for his gun, the guy runs, the cop chases to arrest him. The dude then turns around and instead of cooperating, he continues to approach the cop. There is absolutely nothing the cop did wrong here. This dude was clearly on edge and crazy.

It's just thugs from nearby North County or even Illinois who are showing up to do the looting and damage. I agree that all this could have been avoided but does the mean the kid should die for stealing some cigars?
