Daryl do you mind sharing how much you won over what period of time that got you the boot? This might help others stay under the radar

It was around $15k, but I was up about $19k at one point, went back down to $11k and when I got back up to $15k they pulled the plug.

Another interesting tidbit...just got this email from Owen:

"Thanks so much for taking your closing out in such good spirit. The accounts dept here periodically forward me a list of people to close out. The list is based on a number of criteria, many of which are complex, betting patterns etc. Anyway I do wish you the best of luck in your betting elsewhere in the future,

Regards,
Owen
SIA"

It seems they apply the same rules to everyone at least, which is good to know.

I just got my "pink slip" from SIA. I had problems getting my first withdrawal but after that things went smoothly. It looks like they want to make sure you are not one of their blacklisted sharps using a new name and once they are sure of that, they will pay properly.

The boot was polite and swift and they paid every penny owed. I have only minor bad things to say about them relating to customer service, but I would not question their overall integrity.

They run their shop in an unusual way -- catering to squares and booting anyone who wins fairly consistently -- but this practice cannot be called unethical IMO.

I would not consider SIA as good as the major books like Pinnacle, Canbet, WSEX, WWTS, etc. but I would not worry about getting paid.

Looks like they were cleaning house this week.

Poster "Scoob" got the same E-Mail yesterday.

Darryl, Im curious as to your "betting patterns." I would imagine you played mostly dogs, but how much was your avg. wager? Where you maxing it consistently? Also, how long of time period were you with SIA?

SIA has a limit on their wagers of 500$ & 220 for Totals.....I think you can get limits increase if you are a loser though...

LEYKIS,

Yes, I was betting the limit most of the time and yes I am a dog player so SIA was paradise on earth for me (provided they paid winnings which in the end they did). It took me about 4-5 months to get to the point where they barred me.

requested a withdrawal last wed and was in my acct on friday. the amount was about half of what yours was, but I had been reading the forums and was a little nervous. however, it was handled quickly without any problem which really surprised me. i haven't ever had a problem with them

$15,000 is the booting point for SIA.....aft eight months of minor profits I had a extended winning streak that landed me over 15 dimes to the good.

That's when Owen booted me. They did settle up quickly but this was 18 months ago. Considering what's gone on in that shop this year, I would'nt post up a penny with them.

SIA has degenerated into...as Chuck Sims would put it...a shit book. Your bankroll is too important to f around with SIA.

I have requested two withdrawrals from SIA this month. The first took 10 days to land in my bank. I requested the second one last Thursday. This morning I noticed it was in my bank. So it only took six days from requesting it, to having the funds available in my bank. I also never had a problem with any withdrawrals over the years with SIA.
