Amazing how Major throws stones but has a ton of Skeletons in his closet.

Like his buddy Mark Del going under and keeping his mouth shut. Word is these two still talk to this day and why not Major didn't do anything but profit off the guy.

Like his buddy and ex partner Anthony from securebuxx.

Like his ownership of a slow paying sportsbook majorbetting. ( I know you have nothing to do with that )
marsububu.gif

Like his owing his balls out to many people ( I know you want me to name them )
marsububu.gif
How is life hiding out in Canada like ?

Like his advertisers that he owes money to and keeps them up on his site for free.
1034535174.gif

Like his constant asking different sportsbooks if he can place a package of players in there book and get a sheet. ( Major you cannot put yourself,Anthony, and five other dummy names in a book and get a half sheet. Dude, these books are not as dumb as you )

Please stop trying to f~CK the only source of revenue you have.

Russ,

I was trying to stay out of this, but I can't allow you to deliberately and maliciously LIE about one of our sponsors being in finacial trouble...

You made a bald face LIE about RIO owing out over one million dollars which we both know is not true!

You did this because RIO refused to continue advertising on your site this Football Season and then you threatened Dave Mahoney by saying that unless he were to reconsider advertising with MW, you would make RIO pay for it!!!

Given that your credibility is at an all-time low according to many of the sports books I visit regularly, this won't help you much at all...

The DON BEST books which do transfers with RIO are still doing so, but if RIO were REALLY in trouble as you LIED about, (owing out over a million dollars, lolol), do you really think ANY of these sports books would be trusting RIO with their money?

Also, why aren't ANY gamblers, agents, or posters coming on these forums complaining of slow pays or no pays involving RIO?

Because YOU KNOW and I KNOW that there aren't any!

The fact that you would deceive everyone for your own selfish agenda doesn't surprise me at all...

But please don't use this forum to accomplish that!

Lastly, Joey C was owed money during last year's Baseball Season!!!

Rio was advertising with you then...

So, since you obviously thought it was RIO who owed JOEY C the money (which it isn't), then why didn't you announce it when RIO was advertising with MW??!!

This deception and lying has got to stop Russ or before you know it, you will have no one posting or no one advertising anymore at your site...

Shrinkage are you saying this book owed out money to JoeyC for a prolonged period and you didn't say anything about it?

Shrinkage do you know what state this book is currently in? Do you know the owner or owners good enough to stand up for them? Would you feel safe with a large balance there yourself?

Frances,

If you read my last post carefully, you will know that it wasn't RIO who borrowed the money from Joey C...

Joey C knows who borrowed it and so do I but suffice to say that it was not RIO...

I would vouch for RIO being completely solvent and I'd trust them with over 6 figures of my own money, which I can't say for all sports books...

I also know that virtually every elite bookmaker I talk to has the same opinion of RIO that I do...

Does that answer your question?

yep-
there was some funny sh going on there- not to mention banning a loyal poster from contests(many that he was in the middle of and close to winning)-dont waste your time boys...no books even have contests there- take your major bucks that arent already spent and bless yourself on clearing

pickles,

I actually thought that when you referred to the "FREEZONE" over at MW, you were referring to the fact that about half of the sports books on MW don't even pay to advertise over there...

It's all a big scam and in order to try and save that place from drowning, Russ does things like he has here, pretending RIO is about to go under, when that couldn't be any further from the truth...

Believe me, if RIO was about to go under, I know my buddy Buzzsaw would be all over it...

This practice of deception has got to stop because it hurts our industry...

I invite Russ to find ONE piece of proof, but I know he can't...

General,

I believe the downward spiral began when his best buddy and number one advertiser Mark Del, stiffed gamblers of big coin...

Then most recently, his partner Securrebux, has proved to be anything but secure, leaving Russ and MW with virtually no money and zero credibility...

So in order to divert attention off of his floundering watchdog site, he attempts to discredit one of the pioneer sports books that has been in business three times as long as MW, and they haven't had ONE complaint of a slow pay or a no pay by anyone!

This LYING and DECEPTION has got to stop!
icon_mad.gif

Russ, no wonder you can't get any advertisers to spend any money on your other website, so stop crying to me about that, ok?!

Russ, you will probably start another rumor about me owning RIO or that I am a FED or not a REAL DR, or something ridiculous like that to once again deflect attention away from the real issue and truth...

General,
He flamed me on my first post on MW a few months after they opened. He gets whacky sometimes, that's nothing new.

And if what Shrink is saying is true, he's having a tough go of things lately. That's probably not the best thing for a guy who is on a serious edge anyway.

I do kind of like MajorStats though. I would think it's time to close down majorbetting. That might help relieve some pressure.

3. It is not that uncommon for books to have a need for cash, especially during bases, and borrow from sources to pay customers.

if "it is not that uncommon" it means a lot of books are unsafe = scary thought !!

A sportsbook that has to borrow to cover is no different than a sportsbook that has to lay off action. Under either circumstance it means they're on VERY shaky ground.

Any solvent operation will never be in a position where it has to borrow - period.

To call it 'not uncommon' for books to borrow is a extremely scary thought. If you could name these books I'd appreciate it so I could stay clear.

Dear loyal RX forum readers and Rio/Skybook customers:

First of all, we would like to thank all of you for your many words of support and your loyalty during times when unscrupulous people attempt to discredit us. We can't thank you enough for the emails thanking us for the free contests, free half points, fast payouts, etc. etc.

The purpose of this announcement is to defend the plethora of inaccurate statements made by an individual who is obviously reeling into a downward spiral--that person being the pathetic Russ Hawkins from MajorWager.com.

It is widely known that of all the dregs in the offshore industry, that he is the lowest, along with Charlie from Aces Gold, Peter Linz of the Dunes, and many other deadbeats and scam artists. Russ Hawkins has backed many books that he knew were going under, and even started his own sportsbook that STIFFED all of its customers at the end. We could go on all day, but enough about this sorry individual.

The bottom line here is that Rio/Skybook/IIS was one of his top advertisers two years ago. We paid him a lot of money to be on his site. However, due to the fact that his site is so small, and so nominal in terms of credibility, so poor in terms of return on investment, the company decided to pull its advertising, along with a multitude of other advertisers. When advertisers pull their ads from this broke individual, he attempts to extort them to bring them back. In other words, he makes you think that if you don't re-up with him, that he will badmouth you and attempt to ruin your company. We at Rio/Skybook were intimidated at first, but knew that this individual had to be stopped in his denial of service types of attacks that extort sportsbooks.

The only difference between now and two years ago is the fact that we stopped advertising there. Let this be a WARNING and a heads up to all prospective advertisers. When you realize that his site elicits no customers and you decide to terminate advertising, he will go after you in the same way the russian hackers who extorted the books with their denial of service attacks.

A couple of weeks following our pulling of the advertising he started a myriad of malicious rumors designed to undermine Rio/Skybook. He rumored that Rio was going under in a couple of months, was slow paying customers, and owed astronomical debts to individuals in the business.

All of these attempts to discredit Rio/Skybook have obviously been futile. Rio/Skybook continues to grow and strive to improve. Skybook was recently mentioned widely in a New York Times article. The viability of Rio/Skybook has never been better as illustrated by the fact you will not find one customer who will ever say he has been slow paid, by the fact that we have been with Don Best Premium for 6 years, USATODAY.COM for 3 years, (USATODAY obviously would not collaborate with a sportsbook who doesn't pay), and by the fact that Rio pays out thousands and thousands of dollars in free sports contests every year without blinking an eye.

As far as Rio/Skybook owing money? C'mon. Do you think fellow respected books like Cris, Hollywood, Grande, Olympic and Jazz would continue to do large transfers with us? We all know the answer to that.

All we ask of you readers is that in the future that you do your own due dilligence in terms of deciding if his rumors or any rumors posted in the forum are true. Call Joey C. or call Larry, find out for yourself if these rumors are true instead of choosing to believe a mudslinging, desperate individual on his last legs over a premier sportsbook that has always vowed to be generous, ethical, and diligent.

Thank you very much for your time, and thanks again for your support throughout the years.

Sincerely,

Management

And as usual when Russel knows he is wrong and cannot win he does not post.

Yo big mouth Russel where art thou?

I's think Russel realizes that the more he talks about that the more he may lose advertisers after they find out his game. Therefore he stops posting but only after inserting his foot in his mouth. I have news for you Russel it is way to late for that and everyone knows your game and why you ask? Just look in the mirror at the guy across the border in hiding.
