Drunk, sir, please take a business course or two. If he shares in a % of gains and losses then he is a part-owner. You can argue over the importance of it, but that's the way it works. Understand that if I own 1 share of Microsoft then I am a part-owner too. Of course there's a difference between being a part-owner and being "in charge".
