Not to change the subject but I disagree completely. I went to school in Tampa, although not USF - UT, and was in the area frequently so I'm familiar.
USF is comparable to UCF. It's an enormous school, even though so many people commute there is still such a massive student body (9th in America) that even despite the low ratio - more people are living on campus there than most schools that you would consider mostly on-campus. Also, most of the "commuters" are literally 5 minutes away in USF affliated off-campus housing in practically walkable distance. They actually have USF police and the same rules as on-campus housing but arn't technically considered residence halls.
Seymour was right in a previous post, as was Fishhead for apparently predicting this, USF does have the edge in recruiting with the city of Tampa over pretty much every school in Florida except Miami.
