Wildbill,

The reason people are taking a pop at Royal Sports is that they are now being told Gamblers Avenue was in no financial difficulty (see STING's site).

If they were told the truth that they were actually bankcrupt (as revealed over the road at MW) then I am sure they would have no hesitation in hailing Royal Sports as the "knight in shining armour" that they have really been in all this.

quote:
Minnow - No one ever said GA is broke. This was an acquisition remember?

Mike Silver wrote: " There was never a question of if the players were going to get paid or not, they were going to get paid even if we did not sell the company to Royal or any other entity.

Let me make one thing clear, I DID NOT STEAL POST UP DOLLARS OR CLOSE THE SPORTSBOOK. I AM NOT A THIEF. I could have taken the money and ran and never looked back. We SOLD the sportsbook. We did not receive a bailout. We were acquired by Royal Sports. There is a huge difference.

Cordially,

Mike Silver"

So according to this statement the monies are there and now Royal is in control of them and will payout. End of subject.

IB, I forgot that some people actually believe Sting, especially those who his lies benefit from time to time. It had to hurt like a mofo (for obvious reasons) to tell the truth, so he fabricated his write-up.

Does anybody really believe (now) that GA was anything but broke? Honestly.. does ANYBODY believe what Sting and Mike Silvers said?

I only fault Sting for having a warm and friendly interview instead of a hard hitting, table pounding give the truth type interview.

I know Sting is smarter than believe that rubbish so why did he let Mike get away with it? I guess because they(GA) advertised at 911.

Too bad...Sting should of chewed up that rubbish and cut Mike to shreds.

Minnow - This NOT about Sting it's about Mike Silver and Gamblers Ave.

Royal announce they acquired GA. That means there is value there.

Why don't you ask Royal to come in here and Make A statment regarding if
(1)the post up monies were part of the Acquisition deal and were in place as Mike state above or
(2)whether this was just a Take over of a bunch of players accounts that were Empty.

I'm speculating that #1 will be their answer.

So come on ROYAL straighten this out so everyone will STOP bickering and get back to Gambling on Sports.

Yes Minnow it is hard to believe anything that Sting says. However that statement was made by GA, and it probably isnt true and they were probably more then broke, but the statement was still made. It should be up to Royal now to come tell the truth regarding with what happened. If Royal DID in fact BUY GA, and GA did in FACT have money to pay their players, then the players got cheated by this deal. If it really was a bailout, then I am sure all the players will be thankful, like they were before we heard GA's response.

nets and others,

GA was completely broke, I was privy to some of what went on...

There may have been value in the name of the company, computers, etc, but as far as dollars are concerned, GA had none to speak of...

I can prove it if I have to, but I'd rather not embarass them any further..

I hope people can understand why players are upset about this all. Mike Silvers response is like a slap in the face. I have your money, but I am leaving to work on my other businesses, but Royal will pay you. Even though you have to play your money 5x over now, its your problem not ours.

Once again if this was a bailout by Royal then there are no "sour grapes". Just people who are appreciative of what Royal is doing.

I am leaving to go bowling now...

I will be back later to check out this thread..

I for one, truly appreciate what ROBERTO/ROYALL did...

If ROBERTO hadn't stepped up to the plate, the players would have gotten STIFFED!

Now that THE SHRINK has confirmed what we already knew I have no hesitation in hailing Royal Sports for stepping up to the plate with this BAILOUT deal.

Anyone complaining about a roll over requirement can now STFU knowing that they have been SAVED by ROYAL sports not shafted.

How some people tried to create a path for Gamblers Avenue to leave this with their name in tact is beyond me. But once again

THANK YOU TO ROBERTO AND ROYAL SPORTS!!!!!!!

Not sure how to take this.....for some players who need their money, being that they now have to roll it 5x to them they did get stiffed.

How long do you think it will take the average gambler to roll their entire balance 5 times? 1 month? 2 months? So maybe around the end of the seson they may be able to get a withdraw...at least if they didn't lose it all by then.

Well at least they can still play even though they can't touch their monies for a while.
Thanks Royal

Let's hope they all have good luck and WIN!

jackdaw - Royal did pull our leg a bit and announce it was an Acquisition...and in fact it was just a 5x rollover bailout. So take that for what it's worth. If what the Shrink says is true this so-called Acquisition probably didn't cost much.

Intuition Bet,

That is the part I can't understand as to why a door was left slightly ajar for the operators of Gamblers Avenue to try and sneak out of. They should have been completly exposed as the Ponzi scheme running sportsbook operators they were.

The only reason I can think for this is that the advertising posting forums credibility was also involved with this. A brave decision from Royal as they initially took some flack for the roll over requirement they imposed.

However now the truth is officially known I am sure there is not one player at Gamblers Avenue who isn't grateful to them.

Ponzi scheme mentioned AGAIN here - step aside, Hedgesyn, we're talking BIG money.

How many other Ponzi-wannabes are waiting to implode? How likely is it that one of those might be one of the books advertising here? Do not misinterpret that to mean that I am spreading any rumors either - I'm not - but if a Ponzi-like weasel scheme was being run right under the Shrink's nose, what is so unlikely about another one going on right now?

Truthteller had it right all along - kudos - GA was operated by a hyena but without one-tenth the charm.

Yeah, now instead 70-80 % of them can go ahead and lose there $$$ that they are trying to roll over. I guess a small percentage comes out OK, I don't know why people think it's OK for people's money to be held hostage like that. I think it's ****ing pathetic.

People who bet with these people have no one to blame but themselves. Too many gamblers have exposed this guy and casino for what they are.
