A friend of mine's dad was one of the two people who started Sonic. So my opinion might be a little biased. They are maybe one step down from Carl's Jr. but two steps up from the rat food they serve at McDonalds. I've always thought that their cold food was their strong suit. The ice cream, shakes and cherry limeades are very good for fast food.
