LOL, you are up $ MFG? how is that possible? you are DOCUMENTED down over 800 units, i dont care if you bet .01 a game or 10 dimes, you are down. your plays are as square as a box. try laying less chalk and not betting so many 5 inning games. dont worry about my pocket, its fine. i dont bet for a living i do it for fun and i tend to win, so go figure. i still cant believe you claim to be up money. now that is the funniest thing i have heard in a long time. i can see why you've been refered to as "Baghdad Bob" LMFAO

I know a lot of people appreciate TRK's hard work...

but I do not understand why people are ranked the way they are. It doesnt make any sense to me. If someone says put 10 units on KC -140 and 1 unit on DET +190, and KC loses and DET wins, then by the current format they would be ranked "1-1 +.50 units"??

I requested an explanation a couple of weeks ago...that was igored. I suggested some things that would make the tracking system less laughable, units should be a percentage of bankroll, how people who do this seriously and show profit keep track for the most part. I'll try to find the thread and bump it, under the current format, there is nothing to keep someone from raising units until the very end and with 2nd grade math anyone could come out ahead with this strategy. And it's been done more than once...

I think the 1st column idicates where a player is based on all one unit plays (ie, DET +190 would be scored +1.9 for a win and -1.0 for a loss and KC would be -1.4 for a loss, and +1 for a win.) The 2nd column is for the # of units a player cliams they are betting(ie, MFG claims to bet 50 units a game, thus the 2nd column reflects that). I agree that TRKs format is not the best but it does keep people honest. well, actually, it keeps most honest, MFG has lost a documented 800+ units but according to him "he is up on the year" LOL

I'm glad that TRK caught up to Kodiak. Up until two weeks ago he was able to chase by putting plays in at different numbers. EX. NYY -130/-131/-133/-134. He would have 4 plays on the Yanks. If that failed he would place 6 bets on one team or more if needed.

I understand the format, but it doesnt make any sense, IMO.

The average person cruising the forum will see player x at the top, look at his plays, and go along with their big ones. What is so misleading is the fact that if someone is +200 units on the top column (had they FLAT bet) but -100 units on the bottom (BIG plays/reality) then they are really buying into a negative expectation. There will continue to be people who chase, as sure as the sun will rise. If units as a percentage of BR was mandatory, then no one could chase for long since it's impossible to go below -100% of BR (or 100 units at 1% each).

It's really not difficult to fix, and it's actually easier to track for TRK, and MUCH easier to understand for the uninformed. When football season arrives, BIG plays will become HUGE, and HUGE plays will become GNP's if something isnt done. Then the huge pissing contest all over again, and people change names, repeat cycle. I just get tired of having to weed thru all the name-calling trying to find any info on teams I dont have or may have missed. Just my 2cents, but I havent had anyone really try to piss on me since an NFL 2nd half in NOV.

Dime- Kodiak is not even close to being in MFG's category but he shaded his record big time last year with chases when the rules weren't as strict. It may be wrong of me to jump on him but I hate when guys chase to try and make it look like they have a winning record when in reality they aren't very good. TRK changed the rules so that Kodiak can no longer chase and you can see the results. It probably is bad timing because I'm jumping on a guy when he's down.

joey, glad I make sense.

for the record: I am not directing anything at anyone in particular. I think a lot of what goes on is just a by-product of each bettor's very competitive human nature, for this reason I feel we owe it to newbies or degenerates to enforce laws of reality that help everyone in the long run.

If not...

then I will show the world how to win over 1,000,000 units in less than one sports season- no one will come close to touching me. And TRK will document it all as I scalp and middle for at least 50,000 'units' on each good number.

Dime and ATX- I agree with both of you guys. Guys want to win these contests at any cost to satisfy there egos. The problem occurs when people lose there money following them. There are good cappers around here if you know who to follow.
