Some questions for my Right leaning friends.

I must admit, I am pleasantly shocked at the answers I'm getting.

Is this sample big enough to confirm that my assumptions about the Right relishing our role as the world's big brother are incorrect?

I guess my next question would be, why in the hell do we persist in this role?

see ron paul he's a true conservative on the FP front IMO

also look at long term history of our country the dems historically have been the party of meddling in other peoples affairs

don't act for a second like the left is about stopping our nation building worldwide....

dubya wasn't a "righty" in so many categories.....

nowadays as things stand its just a bunch of lefties bickering about what government should do for the most part...since our government has grown so goddamn big and most of these guys got to peddle to some sort of influencial group to get funding for re-election and such....so in the end there are very few "righties" around as far as our elected officials go

You must mean agencies like the FTC and FDA. The GOP gets in and tries hard to gut them.

Whether Rightys or Leftys are in power, every day the US does good in the world. It just doesn't make the news.

Right now we have a ship's captain being held hostage by pirates. The ship was in those waters on its way to deliver food and aid to Kenya. It was not an act of policing; it was an act of benevolence. And now the FBI is hoping to negotiate a deal with a gang of thugs to save the captain's life.
