Hansen: are you personally that threatened by a dissenting point of view that you don't agree with that you'd actually resort to violence? I'm not threatened by Lander or any of the others who express opinions I'm not crazy about, that's why I have gone to vote in every election I've been able to since I turned 18. I actually do believe in the tenets of free speech and democratic society, and as long as the 'opposition' does not lose my respect by turning violent (as those SF protestors did), I see no problem. Do I get pissed from time to time? Sure, just as they do, but anyone will who truly believes in their position.

In conclusion, calm down - this is a political forum, if you don't like the heat, get out of the kitchen and stop threatening people here.

i concur and apologize if i offended you. it's been a LONG time since college football days when one could actually take some frustrations out on an opponent.

i am a very passionate person, and strongly believe in our cause. i too, am reasonable and look forward to intelligent discourse. but when i find somone that exhibits little to no common sense, i tend to resort to more antediluvian forms of communicating -- a kind of lowering yourself to your oppositions level kind-of-thing.
