I've been putting out an on-track tip sheet for over ten years now. Imo, racing is too tough a game to beat with any type of consistency. Baffert was asked a while back if anyone makes money at the races. He said only the tip sheet guys. Sports are a decidedly easier way to go, only two horses in each race.

Lol. Retama opened in '95. Have handicapped every race ever run there. Mostly the same trainers and jockeys. After a while you see definite patterns. I'll nail a 50-1 on my sheet now and then and people will wonder how. (capping/guessing on the human element)
