Without Diego Godin I find it extremely difficult to keep Bayer leverkusen from finding the net just once. If they doo...their chances of progressing would be throufh the roof. Atletico would then have to score 3 goals to advance if Leverkusen can score. Basically if Leverkusen scores, they will advance. Away goals are more valued and neither team has allowed goals at home in months...therefore I do see Athletico scoring first to put the pressure on Bayer but even if Atletico go up 2-0....all Bayer has to do is score once to progress. If they lose 2-1 today, Leverkusen still advances.
Godin is Atleticos best centre back and one of the best in the world. He is suspended for the match.

I think it is very possible for Atletico madrid to fight to win this game and do so but not advance due to the lack of experience in the back end. The way this defense plays is great but all it takes is for ONE cross from Leverkusen to end Atleticos hopes at a repeat final appearance and I think they will get it. German teams do not hope for 0-0 results, and I expect them to fight for that one goal.
