soccer a soft sport? soccer is for homos? This is the most stupid thing i have ever heard in my life and could only come from someone who probably never played soccer. I can tell you this from own experience: I loved to play soccer, i started with 7 and played it for nearly 18 years till an opposite player came with full speed from left and tackled my left knee. Today i am 34 and can not do jogging anymore and i can not even drive my car without pain.I don't know how often i get an elbow in my head or nose when i made a header. A lot of teammates had broken chin and broken noses and played further. This is something you would never see in football, because in football you are protected, especially around the head and shoulders. The tackles in football or hockey look more spectacular, but in soccer you have no protection of head, wrist, shoulders or especially knees. I love to watch football, but when you are speaking of toughness then look at rugby and how they play the game. They are probably laughing about these ballerinas in NFL with their overall protection. If you want to see cry babies then look at nba and divas like lebron or wade who start crying when they are slightly touched and didn't get a foul called. Or look at baseball. This is considered the most famous sport in the us, but in my opinion this is the most lame and boring sport that exists. I can watch here via cable a lot of mlb games and till now i didn't manage in any game to go past the 3rd inning without falling asleep. All i see are fat bums, who are touching their balls, spitting on the floor and looking 3 hours in the air.I have seen 60 year's old who are in better shape than these fat baseball players. If you want to see real soccer than watch english premier league, because there you see real soccer. In the game netherlands vs. portugal you had 8 yellow cards and 4 sent offs. If this game was played in english PL there would be nobody sent off. You can argue if soccer is interesting. It is certainly not for everyone and i admit that i love to watch football and nba more than soccer, but i like to watch bundesliga and especially english PL. Soccer has a completely different meaning to europe and especially south america and africa than to usa.
