No way they have more overall talent. Texas is one of the top 3 recruiting states in the country. Texas has more overall talent from top to bottom.
As far as teams going go, Boise State has earned the right to be there. How can you justify a two loss team being more deserving than an undefeated squad. Please don't use the conference argument as the Big 10 is by far the worst of the BCS conferences. The top teams pad their win totals by beating on inferior teams.
Holy smokes.......I think I actually agree with you USC-Homer....
Ohio St is so overrated from a talent standpoint it is sad....a sad sad thing...
Let me break it down for you....
Pryor is good....and he will be great, Vince Young in college great, but not yet.
Beanie is the best NFL-ready running back in CFB....ok ok....now I sound like I am pro-Ohio St in this debate...
Ohio St's offensive line is AWFUL! Browning (RT) can't block anyone from a pass protection stand point....
Alex Boone is (IMO)
the most overrated player to ever play at Ohio St. He is still looking for a Florida/LSU DE to block from the last two Nat'l title games...
OSU's WR's are average at the VERY best. Neither Robiskie OR Hartline can get open against marginally athletic DB's....
The defensive line, although playing better as of late...are very poor to say the least.
Couldn't get a sack if they rushed 6 versus only 5 O-linemen...
Lauranitis is the real deal. Pure stud. Homan is the next stud in waiting....but I am tired of seeing Marcus Freeman get blocked on every play and chase RB's out of the backfield on passing plays all the time...see my comments on Alex Boone.
The defensive backfield however, is excellent. Malcolm Jenkins is the best cover corner in the country...Chikwa is almost as good...and Donald Washington isn't that far off. Anderson Russell and Kurt Coleman are solid as well.
As far as EGD's comments about Texas being one of the Top 3 recruiting states in the country....he is right....
California
Florida
Texas
Ohio
but Ohio is fourth....
