Shotgun, Floyd and Patriot,

You guys are wasting your time. The left wingers here are not interested in facts or truth, they've proven that on numerous occasions when I've caught them in lies and posting incorrect factual data, then failed to even have the courage to admit they were wrong.

The media could have detailed video of George Bush flying jets in Alabama, timecoded in 1972, with the testimony of 100 witnesses to verify its authenticity and it would mean NOTHING to these people. When the facts don't suit their argument, they just ignore them because they have NO SHAME. Everything is subverted to their political ideology, truth, facts, decency...those are just words to the 21st Century Left Winger.

So don't say another Democratic lie debunked, because no matter what the facts say, they'll still believe whatever they want to believe.

Give me the video or absent that any type of proof that would be admissable in a court of law and I'll back off. Until then I correctly call bullshit.

San Jose, my guess is you and Floyd have never been in military but if you had been, you'd understand that:

1. Ain't like civilian life where you can easily blow off reporting to work
2. It's more heavily documented than most but not all workplaces
3. It's pretty fvckin' easy to prove where you've been if you're in the military. In my case, like Bush, I don't have computer records, but paper documents in my SRB just like he does show where you are and what you are doing. The fact that he has 5 missing months and one person comes forward id'ing him as being there is a little dubious after a dozen people who have been interviewed can't recall him. The fact Bush can't recall a single person or explain what he was doing while he was supposedly serving in the guard? Color me skeptical.

(Btw, does dubya actually stand for dubious? Seems to fit, don't it?)

You guys got some heavy spinning to do.

Patriot,

Have you ever found one thing Bush has doen to be less than perfect?

It seems to me that he is some kind of super-human in your eyes.

Your unwavering loyalty, no matter the circumstance, makes me wonder if you are more a cheerleader, than a concerned citizen/party member.

Disclaimer: I have not, and will likely never vote for a democrat. I am free market capitalist with Liberterin leanings, so any "clinton loving" retort, or any accusations of being a wacky lefty liberal, are baseless, and incorrect.

You are closer to a marxist than I am*

*I am just making this statement now, or as always, whenever I question Bush , I get some misguided analogy about CLinton, or am unfairly labeled a socialist leaning apologist.
I am for SMALL government.

Mudbone,

Naw, I don't spin, I only deal in facts. I'm quite happy for you that you have a subject in this thread (military service) of which you have actual knowledge.

No, I did not serve in the military. I was a little too young for Vietnam and a little too old for the Gulf War. And until last year, I would have agreed with your assessment that military records are meticulous and easily established. I would have agreed UNTIL I actually saw it at play when my father retired. He was a veteran and he needed to prove that fact when he went down to Social Security. He couldn't find any of his discharge paperwork or anything related to it. Like he told me, "It was f*cking 40 years ago." But, he did have his GI Number (if that makes any sense) which is apparently something that everyone had in that day. Well, the Social Security people then contacted Army Records, which are apparently all kept in Colorado. The Army Records people told Social Security that there had been a large fire some years ago that destroyed many of the records from the late 1950's and early 1960's. Well to make a long story short and not bore you to death, it took the better part of three months for this stuff to get resolved and my father to start collecting the additional benefits due him as a veteran. The point being that military record keeping is a LOT WORSE than I expected. Doesn't mean that's the case in Bush's story (I don't spin like you left wing vermin), but it makes me a lot more sympathetic to the idea that records are vague and/or incomplete.

Mudbone,

Also, the time period where Bush was in Alabama was late 1972 and early 1973 where the war effort was winding down and no new callups were issued. How strict would they be about making meetings in such a scenario?

Chonce...in the upcoming election if GW was going against Joe Lieberman I would have a tough time on who to vote for.
I am more pissed at the extreme bias by the media..they never, ever went after Bill Clinton this way and he was a full fledged documented draft dodger.
You can agrre with the war or disagree I posted a topic on what strtegy people would take immediatley after 9/11..there is 44 post and not 1 clean answer...My contention is that if the UN gave the US 100% backing in this endeavor we would be light years ahead of where we are now...the libs notion of somehow if we could just read OBL his miranda rights and have a OJ type trial all this, terroism would go away..its insane....This thing on terroism is going to last about 15 years.
As far as Bush goes to me he is not conservative enough...i would vote for Pat Buchanan in a heartbeat (who I know is against the war by the way).
One more thing this blood for oil bullshit is directed at Bush when the only ones who have benifited till this point have been the french, russians ,and germans...so whats the bumper sticker for them?terroism for oil?...the french will get it when they see the eiffel tower on its side from some wacko raghead.
