with obama's uhhs when not on telepropter and the gaffs i've already seen from him to date

starting to think mccain has this unless bob barr can drag alot of republicans over

that's my vote not everything i want but tons better than mccain but i'm not sure many will follow me

hoping to get enough votes to get federal funding next election cycle we need a 3rd party so bad right now the republican party is a complete sham right now

i was a ron paul supporting "moonbat"...

plus you saw what happened on this very forum D2 during the primaries many "conservatives" which i bash heads with all the time supported different guys and mccain was at the very bottom of their list

mccain was nobody's first pick

but every single one of them other than us ron paul people will be voting mccain come november

and polls have shown quite a bit of hillary supporters will be voting mccain

really think obama in deep at this point....

unless you get the under 30 crowd out in humongous hoards....which is tough....he's in deep

hell the reason bush is in office is republicans always show up on voting day. lazy liberals that want to blame everything on anything lose because of their inclination to just sit back and whine while not diong something

You don't have to remind John Kerry. He lost Ohio because "some of the less fortunate" didn't get off their ass in Cleveland and vote.Thank god.

Can you imagine what its going to be like if this ACLU Marxist actually wins?...Plan on working about another 15 years so you can pay for all the new petri dish of bastard communities.
They'll be handing out fertility pills in welfare lines to make more "democrats".......what a nightmare.

Yup. I agree with you.
just like I said on this board many times Bill Clinton produced GW Bush.
Bush made Obama.

kosovo and somalia (partially distraction from monicagate which also helped bush with evangelicals IMO) were why dubya won

the "no nation building humble foreign policy" stuff from 2000

and in 2004 people were still freaked out after 9/11 and dems put up kerry of all people

the whole thing is retarded

just playing with peoples emotions to give us shitty government plus both of um jokers most of the time

mccain vs. obama

i think that might actually be worse than bush vs. kerry well seeing it at the time

just keep getting worse and worse no end in sight

all i know is obama better find some better economic advisors cause to date he's only preaching to his commie/marxist crowd and he can't win this election with them alone

maybe enough will be created by november due to our ever deteriorating economic conditions

anyway its just maddening to see this happen to my country

reason i rant so much nothing else i can do

makes the most sense

1,2 punch on the two top issues this election

economy and foreign policy

don't know much about the pawlenty guy though

think obama's choice was stupid but we shall see not gonna bring any fiscally conservative democrats over with that ticket

basically have to hope enough people looking for handouts IMO with obama/biden

and obama taking biden i think makes romney's chances even better and intrade agrees up to 63%

People don't vote on the economy...it will always come up in the top 4 or 5 issues on voters minds (along with education) but this is American politics (don't know enough about other countries but could be the same there). Economic issues are generally way over people's heads. Look no further than McCain beating Romney in Michigan primaries (based on exit polls) on people whom had "economy" as their #1 issue. They may say they are voting on it but voters generally boil down to

-You have your single issue voters (abortion, gay marriage etc)
-Straight ticket voters (a lot of them are b/c of the above)
-People vote with someone they can identify with

Issue oriented voters (like yourself) are few and far between and not really worth chasing for campaigns. The key is the last...identifying. You can create that through some issue messaging. Biden has a pretty original narrative that can be told. Of course he blows up sometimes with some gaffs but if they can keep that under control good choice. I was advocating him since the primary to people as the VP.

I've said all along that Obama needs to alter (change...pun intended) the electorate to win this thing. If it looks like 2004, 2000, etc..he loses. He needs to spike African American & youth turnout....not a crazy amount but change the electorate slightly.

I think Chenmen has the correct analysis on Jindal being the best choice. Question is whether or not McCain will realize it and make the personal sacrifice, ie. having to work with a colored guy who is not one of the good ole' boys.

I agree with Tizzy in that evangelicals will vote for McCain no matter what, simply on the basis that Obama is the anti-Christ. A lot of Romney's credentials will be redundant, therefore.

Having someone young is non-negotiable. Anything else would be suicide.

Forcing at least one colored person on the whites is something the whites are used to by now. In fact, it may give an excuse to some guilt-ridden white democrats, who would instinctively support a non-white over a white, to vote republican.

The smarter white nationalists won't vote at all so their opinion makes no difference. The dumber ones (aka kkk) would still prefer an Indian vp to a black prez.

I can't disagree with any of that, and agree with most of that.

I still think McCain is going to get a little bold here after seeing Biden as the choice.
I like the female choice for VP for Mac.Simply because debate wise,Biden can be overly agressive. He can easily leave the impression that he is being "rude" to a woman....So guys on the right can take a page out of the lefts playbook and call Biden a "woman beater",when he starts to play a little "rough".
I think McCain is going to go a little passive with either a woman or Lieberman...McCain will take on Obama himself, and have this amatuer cowering just like last weeks debate.

i cant wait to see obama stutter it up at the debates..

idk about having a woman on the ticket. i think they'd rather see a minority than a woman..

People don't vote on the economy...

of course they do when the economy is bad it becomes the #1 issue especially in a very materialistic non family oriented society.....

just look at all the exit polls during the primaries

#1 issue was economy

and the economy has only gotten worse since than

when people's standard of living is going down people want answers from government (well these days)

they should be looking to themselves not government for the answers but....yet another reason we going down the tubes

Condoleezza Rice is the best chose but since she states she does not want that there position, Mitt is the gooderlyest of the rest. Cause he is smart, bright knows a bunch of stuff and he looks Presidential.

Just an opinion on this matter.

Romney, I think would be the best choice. My fear is that Huckabee who I like, has a lot of resentment toward Romney & his lot the evangelicals may not turn out in droves if Romney's the one.
The gov. of Alaska also because of the snub Obama gave to Clinton, could be a good choice as women may gravitate toward her to defy Obama.
I'm not interested in Lieberman, Pawlenty or Ridge! But who knows!
