While Jameis Winston was starting New Orleans was 5-2 having beaten Green Bay, New England, Seattle, and Tampa Bay getting to that record. He had 14 TDs (and one more rushing) to 3 interceptions. Why would you sell your soul for Aaron Rogers when it looks like Sean Payton had done a great rehab job with Wilson?

I don't think there's one person on this earth who knows football.... Who would pass on 2 years with Aaron Rodgers, just to roll with Jameis Winston. He improved last season before he got hurt, but he's still a little shaky as a good, reliable long term answer for New Orleans IMO.

If I'm the 49ers I don't want Rodgers. Sure he's a short-term upgrade in talent, but the price tag is not worth it.

Lance could end up being pretty damn good, and it's likely that he is better than Jimmy IMO. It was a weird situation for the QB room this year, but Lance has a lot of potential from what I've seen. A cheap, high-ceiling talent like that with a strong roster that just needs to shore up the secondary-- I'd stay the course if I'm SF.

No reason to add an expensive, selfish player like that and risk hurting a great culture they already have as well as restrict their ability to retool the rest of the roster

You probably don't like the NBA any better than I do , if drama isn't your thing.. lol
The drama in that league is levels ahead of the stars in the NFL...BTW , Rodgers isn't going anywhere..

Restructuring contracts already happening. GMs can get pretty creative when they need to be.. 50 million could be posturing to some degree.. still no better situation than where he already is , especially looking over the landscape with limited good options.
