Glad to see you have positive things going for you at the moment. As someone in the industry, do yourself one important favor prior to enrolling and betting your future on getting into the business while taking time away from whatever you do currently.
Establish these future contacts now. Don't wait, don't think that when the degree is finished it will work like magic. Get a head start in what or wherever you can. If you have contacts now, I'd call them up and ask for their opinions on how to approach it.
The real way to attack getting your masters if finding a solid job with a company who will pay your way to receive the degree. They don't even have to currently be sports related. Find continuing education programs within corporations.
Example. There's a current NBA Team President who earned his all important masters degree while working for Campbell Soup decades ago. Had no true intentions of working for that company long-term but knew the key to his success was finding a company that would pay the way.
