Just like a twig creaks before it snaps:

Look for a 5.0 or better soon.

O.K. So maybe I should have revised the size down to a 4.0 or better. That big blue square was a 4.2 event:

I don't know if I've seen this phenomena before but I think we have a groundbreaking case of a thread that could actually be moved out of the RR and into the main forum and not the other way around.

Interesting nonetheless.

Seeing some more clustering on the southern end. There's also a swarm just outside the town of Brawley, Calif.:

Another series along the San Andreas. Expect a 4.0 or greater within the next couple days.

Our parent company in Orange County just experienced a small earthquake a couple of minutes ago and are shut down.

pretty close QL ,where were you when it hit ?

I was in Carson, driving to lunch. Didn't feel a thing. How about you?

To be quite honest about the prediction, it was 19 days after I posted this and it wasn't on the San Andreas.

We have a similar situation, although a bit more minor. Expect maybe a 4.0.

Notice the cluster of blue squares (earthquakes in the last day) toward the southern end of the San Andreas and then there were a few extending up to Northern California.

Not to gloat...but I live on the Canadian Shield where earthquakes are IMPOSSIBLE. Good luck when you all sink into the Pacific.

We tame bears like kitty cats up here or......we shoot them for fun.

lol. just got back fishing from the Man-Sask border -- I'm on the Shield too. A bear was the biggest threat I could think of. Or maybe the tainted bacon scare...

OK, maybe not a "wedge" blizzard but a blizzard nonetheless.
