Ram Luna has great location, great great location. The trip up there which is about 40 minutes is pretty nice.

It's easy to get lost getting up there though.

Ram Luna is a very cool place, I love it. Another super-romantic place is Le Monastere, going up from Tre Fratelli. Great food, great view, great atmosphere, you better try that, Judge, I know you'll like it

For those who lived in Venezuela and enjoyed Arepas, there is a little restaraunt run by a venezuelan guy in Santa Ana that specializes in them.

In the same shopping centre as La Casa de Urraca and Mega 2000 is a little lunch place called ?? where they make, chicken, beef, tuna and avacado, bean and cheese etc arepas.

Sure... they are not cooked on the fire grill like in Venezuela, they are done in a little machine thing, but they are still yummy.

Doctor Who
Arepa specialist.

Ate at the Monestary when I first got down here.Very romantic.A little over priced but is worth it.Don't go back much because I have about the same view from my living room.Slim,by the way,I would never drive to Ram Luna,I would probably end up in Panama.

Hahahaha, Judge, I've done that several times already.....you know something is wrong when they want to see your passport or id...

Phuck that top level deal! You pay $100 for a plate of baby food!

The real deal is downstairs by the chapel.

20K colones gets you a feast for 4. This is the best Argentinian grill in CR.

You get a whole lomito steak, chicken & beef kabobs, & for your pork lovers...BBQ ribs that make Tony Romas look pretty sorry. Potatoes, corn, & salad come with the "sampler plate".

The lomito is marinated in Argentinian Chimichurri for days before it hits the grill.

Insane meal. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Forgot the name.

But you know where Les Monastere is right? You can get the name by calling them since it is within the Monastery.

It's downstairs by where the chapel is...next to the bar.

Hey Slim, since that incident at Jaco with the Wishbone being closed on Wed. I better inform you that Les Monastere is closed on Sundays.

I think it has to do with some sorta religious thinga ma jingy. /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

hahahah you know jabb, when i asked earlier, i ALMOST asked if that too was closed on wednesdays...LOL...

man that sucked, driving to jaco ONLY to eat at a particular rest with my family and when we get there, the thing is closed...

Me and Kat were about to fight on the main street in Jaco in front of the mas x menos cause we couldn't find the place and were beginning to get pissed off /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif LOL /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Hey S...

Shows you how desperate I am for some fishy. Should have used McCormick & Schmicks insead.

B.T.W. The sampler platter does not come with the whole lomito steak.

The 20 dimes includes the platter & a steak.

Forgot to mention the homemade dark brew that is made by the padres.

Changos ribs 10+

A couple more places I have eaten at lately was the spanish place in plaza itskazu by outback and a fondu place right near the bowling alley in that new shopping center. Both places were real solid. Checkem out if u get a chance.

We had nachos at hooligans today. I would give them about a 2 rating.

I swear they poured a whole bottle of sour cream on them. And if you don't think sour cream comes in bottles, you had to see this mess... /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

The BEST nachos in CR are at Tex-Mex in Santa Ana.

Get the super nachos w/chicken and you can administer as much sour cream and guacamole you want. /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Judge: That old guy (waiter) at Icarus is the creepiest guy ever! I LOVE their tomatoe soup!
