Agree. Doesnt mean it would have gone over but a lot of those K's were called stike 3 and most were on full counts so would have, should have been walks. Lots more base runners. Good pitching though but anyone could the pitchers adjust, around the 2nd inning to that huge strike zone and throw nothing but outside and low, all balls but all called strikes. It really helped the pitching performance look better than it was. Jeter was clearly swinging at pitches he didnt want to swing at and was very vocal about it. But it was called that bad for both teams, so it was fair BUT, it really hurt the over. Let me make this clear..It Didnt cost us the over, but it hurt it badly is all..Loss is a loss and Im sorry about that. I hope to win this 2nd game

If you are wagering based on the umpire your in trouble....If you are complaining after a loss because of the ump you are in trouble....How many times have you heard someone give the ump props for winning a side or a total...Seriously...

Lots. Emmel is the best overs ump in the history of the game

Players adjust to the zone and you know that. I just can't accept that reasoning. Never would have been mentioned if Balt hit a slam in the 8th and the total went over. There is always a reason why you lose a play.

I would have mentioned that we probably got lucky if he hit a slam as the game was affected by the strikezone enlargement. This Ump's strikezone made hitters swing at balls and the pitchers knew they could throw off the plate. It snowballs because it makes it easier for pitchers to get ahead in counts and then they can throw a pitch out of the zone that a hitter will swing at and miss or not be able to hit it hard.

I am just pointing out that it mattered in this game.

Well exactly..When pitchers get squeezed really hard, it make it easier to sit back and find a good pitch to hit. Strike zones aren't all equal but when they are really bad in either direction it affects the game

Wainwright not looking good. 3-0 early but i think the Cards will come back, so we shall see. Gio has almost a 4 era against teams that see him twice and allows around 13 baserunners a game, and the Cards usually crush lefties, so they should have their chances

yes they have, but not tonight I dont think. The numbers that I have for this game are weird but I do have it high scoring and Cards winning, so we will see

yeah I know, I was just saying that should be runs tonight. You are correct about the playoffs this year. Lots of 3-2 type games. I think runs will pick up in the next round though
