Man, I know where you are coming from. I just kind of carry the attitude of 'who gives a fuck' on my sleeve. I'd be disappointed, but then again, in the grand scheme of things, who gives a fuck....children's book or not. And, I've read all of the Potter books, they are entertaining to me.

Man if I knew the ending to that book that you're referring to(don't wanna list the title in case someone who hasn't read it happens to come across it and pick it up), it would've ruined my favorite book of all-time.
I have that attitude too, but still, it's the idea...read the earlier posts. If your favorite team was playing Game 7 of the Finals, and you had to miss it but were gonna tape it and watch that night, but someone ruined it for you beforehand, you're telling me you wouldn't be EXTREMELY PISSED/UPSET? You know you would. It's the same idea. And in that situation, you can't just let shit roll of your shoulder that easy.
I don't think the Harry Potter books are GREAT or anything. They're entertaining, for sure, but not great. It's just the idea that someone went out of their way to be a complete asshole. The fact that anyone's trying to justify it is absolutely ridiculous and illogical.
Look at my other posts on this site; no one would question my sense of humor. So for me to get pissed about anything, let alone this, is a testament to how extremely fucked up it was. But oh well.
