Hali, how u doing man? I really don't care how many people here are willing to take a stand against an advertiser sportsbook. Hey, dogball agrees with me, so how about them apples?

That was me posting there buddy, not someone else. Damn, I could have sworn that you were gonna name a LEGIT shop that did the stuff that SIRBET did. I guess u failed, Hali.

Notice that I do not need to make a personal attack on you. You really can't address the substance of the dispute, Hali, which is why you go below the belt. Let's try this one on you: Why didn't Sirbet test drive its software on someone other than its clients? thanks

Hali, if you think that I am an "idiot," then fine...don't waste your time responding to me pal. Somehow I think that you know in the back of your mind that Sirbet is a crooked shop. thanks

hamneggs,

I have been working on this situtation for the past 2 hours...

I have spoken with Sirbet to hear their side of the story and I have placed a couple of calls into Dogball to hear his side of the story as well....

Since I have yet to speak to DOGBALL, I will only reply briefly at this time.

To answer your question about Sirbet's sofware provider, Sirbet was more than forthcoming when I asked them about it.

They use IGW (Interactive Gaming & Wagering).

This is the exact same software provider that is used by two other very respected sports books, namely VIP SPORTS and GAMEDAY.

The _specific_ version (since you asked) that was used which had faults in it was Version 15, which SIRBET _immediately_ took down and replaced it with version 16.

Since version 16 has been installed, there has not been one error and Sirbet has tested this over and over again.

Being that SIRBET had previously used Version 10 before upgrading to version 15, they admit that they wanted to get to 15 as quickly as possible since they has skipped the other 4 versions in between!

This was a mistake that they readily and openly admit to...

But this has NOTHING to do with the REAL ISSUE at hand, which I am about to get to...

Sirbet has NEVER had ONE SINGLE COMPLAINT lodged against them by any of the other gambler we referred to them...

And, no one else on any forum that I am aware of, has ever had a problem with SIRBET...

I also am in possession of a copy of a very threatening internet conversation that took place between you and one of their customer service representatives today, where you tried to bully them around and use this forum to your advantage.

I will refrain for now, until I speak with DOGBALL, from putting the exact copy of your last of 6 conversations with SIRBET on this forum for all to witness.

I get _pissed off_ enough when a sports book stiffs a gambler, but when I suspect that 2 gamblers are in collusion to tarnish the GOOD reputation of a sports book because ONE of the gamblers owes them money and won't pay...

_MY HAIR STANDS UP ALL OVER MY BODY!!!_

Dogball, please give me back a return phone call so I don't have to continue my dialogue with this babbling idiot with such a transparent agenda!

Ken, were you able to get an explanation regarding the fact that CORBY@SIRBET REFUSED TO RETURN TELEPHONE CALLS THAT WERE MADE TO REQUEST A PAYOUT?

While I do respect a guy like ham making sure a book is keeping up to standard, they fixed the issue and their not going to risk their good rep over a few bucks. Let it die.

Hamneggs,

Yes but it doesn't help your case one bit and is more of a he said she said ordeal...

SIRBET claims that Dogball never called them to reqest a payout.

Dogball says he did.

SIRBET asked Dogball to provide either the name of the person he spoke to when he requested the payout or the telephone number he dialed them on...

Dogball did not provide them with either...

Shrink, let's be honest if Sirbet is going to deny that dogball ever made a payout request then they are going to deny it even if he provides the phone number and name of a person with whom he spoke.

It is not as though he called the wrong sportbsook or something.

Who do you believe?

Ken, u think that it is an ok idea to test drive software on clients? Do most LEGIT shops do that? Just curious, thanks

I don't know what you mean by helping my case out. What do you mean? You mean my case for dogball that he should not pay Sirbet? Of course he shouldn't pay them, they refused to pay him when the time came so why should he pay them?

As far as a "case" goes, it is an illegal and unenforceable debt. There is no "case" unless you are speaking about the racketeering committed by Sirbet and their collection agent in Texas. Is that what you are referring to?

"This will be the last time SirBet posts regarding this issue. All further business will be handled via email via corby@sirbet.com. I would prefer to handle business that way rather than over the internet."

Not surprising. I didn't think you came in here to discuss how you got Aces Golds email list.

"As far as Dog, I'm not sure what the story is here or how he fits in but this is a VERY highly respected friend of mine. I have gone my rounds with him in the past but now would actively seek this guy out for his opinion on my personal matters. That's how much I look up to him. I am sure whatever it is will be resolved amiably if Dogball is involved." -PM

"No one need doubt Dogball's reputation. When I saw he was involved there is never a worry of him not doing the right thing. 'Nuff said." -PM

What happened here??? Man, I read hundreds of bashing posts back in forth for a long time in many threads. Now these guys are the best of friends?? Life must be different on the internet. I just can't imagine hating someone so much then he suddenly he is my buddy.
Does this stuff happen in real life?? Have I been missing it? Am I the only person in the world who doesn't forgive people?
If so, then wtf is wrong with me???

Ken-

in your words-

They are now memorialized here and cannot be erased. All posters will see that this is one of the explanation's a book who is advertising on your site gave for not honoring my payout request. Since many of the facts are being proferred, none by me, it is probably in my best interest now to fully detail my exoperience there.

hamneggs,

you just won't let it drop so I will continue to provide more information that I have learned
about this case...

This may not be in the best interest for Dogball, but I have asked him to see if he could get you to refrain from posting
further because I believe that you are HURTING him...

FACT.....

Dogball was notified that he was read back the amounts correctly and that he agreed to the increased amounts.

He then checked his plays online and called Sirbet to change them.

Corby called Dogball the next day to see if he wanted to hear the tape and Dogball declined and agreed that they probably did read it back correctly.

I believe that had Dogball requested a payout, he would have gotten it!!!

FYI-- if you have a balance of $14,000 on Monday and your credit limit is $10k you are up $4k...correct?

Then, on Monday Dogball loses $5900 to go BELOW his credit window.

Do you as a player call up to take out $4k you were up on monday to leave your balance at $5k????

I dont think so and especially not when Dogball was playing his ENTIRE BALANCE nearly every day.

P.S

Dogball,

You have always been welcome to present your side to this story and I was kind of surprised that it took you so long to do so, in light of what hammy was doing (imo, hurting you!)

Bottom line: This was told to you last night by both Patrick and I....

You made the bets with SIRBET and we BOTH believe you owe them the money and should honor the bets, period...

You informed us that you would do so and I respect you a lot for honoring your word, given the anger and disappointment you feel regarding the way that you feel Sirbet treated you...

I don't know what you mean by me "hurting" him.

How am I "hurting" him? Can you explain? Are you trying to use some kind of twisted logic?

Do you know what an unenforceable gambling debt is, Ken? I assume that you have some sense of it.

Shrink, he does not have to pay and that is FACT.

Ham-

Please forget about the unenforceable gambling debt issue. I am not interested in that. I agree that sirbet has culpability in this matter, have never stated that I would not honor the debt and Ken left the conversation agreeing that the two options I was going to present to sirbet today were acceptable then , when ken makes statements like-

"This may not be in the best interest for Dogball

I was kind of surprised that it took you so long to do so, "

After begging me last night to silence you , requesting that I do not post about the matter and accusing me of putting you upto posting, you know his duplicity is matched only by his complete ignorance for the facts and greed in advertising dollars.

i believe the facts , combined with my statement of intent to pat and ken will adversely affect one party only .. I am not worried about shrinks hollow accusations that this would impact me negatively in any manner. The players can decide for themselves if they want to play at sirbet and what they think of how I handled the situation. I wont put words in people mouths like Ken, ( irish can come in here and speak for himself) but I consulted the opinions of many people on this subject and am perfectly comfortable that I am doing the right thing.

Dogball,

Now you are the one who is diverting the real issue at hand and that is the undisputed fact that you made the bets with SIRBET and you owe them the money.

This has nothing to do with advertising dollars, as that is pretty LAME of you to imply that (amazing how Hammy used that one, too)...

That is one reason why I IMMEDIATELY asked Patrick Mc Irish to get involved...

All of this other stuff is bullshit, imo...

You make a bet, you pay the bet (if u should lose, which u did)....
