They screwed me on the hot dog eating prop, and I've taken most of my serious business elsewhere. Still may throw in a bet on something obscure there, but they handled it very badly.

I disagree with anyone who'd say if there was an issue they'd pay both sides...Hell, on this one, I wouldn't be surprised if they just collected one side and canceled the other, as I couldn't find anyone on the other side.

Customer service was a joke about it too, of course.

I'm glad I found out about this over a couple hundred dollars, not a potentially much larger wager on something else.

caveat emptor.

Like I said... props are a problem. Under in dogs in 12 minutes is a great bet when they change it to 10 minutes.

If 5D specified 12 minutes ( like every previous year), then no beef ( pun intended).

Shit like this only happens on the odd stuff, like eating hot dogs. If you bet NFL spreads and totals, you won't have these issues.

Doug, it wasn't just the change from 12 to 10. They added the 12 min requirement and still took more action, leaving the previously placed wagers intact.

Only LATER, when they saw they were on the hook for a ton of 1-sided action before adding the time stipulation, did they cancel them all.

Or maybe they only canceled the unders, who knows.

So it wasn't just the time change, it was how it was handled even AFTER they knew about the change. That's piss poor in my book.

I don't know for sure, but I think God ( Tony), would cancel the overs as well ( at 12 minutes), then re-line it.

It could have been worded better so the hot dog sharps didn't have an advantage. It seems the HDS's found out about the time change ahead of the book ?

Shit like this can occur with props. I tend to think some knew this change ahead of Tony. I guess T didn't want to eat this one ?

Yes, of course people knew about it before the book. But when they found out they could have cancelled and re-lined or just cancelled and taken it off the board.

But no, they left all the old action sitting pending (hence valid) and took new action on the same line with the 12 min stipulation.

Only later after more action came in and somebody figured out they were on the hook for a lot of unders, did they cancel the unders.

Made it seem like they were the ones taking a shot, and when it didn't go their way, they cancelled. Weak.

Tony ( God) is the type to to tell you to Fuck off, and bet your hotdog eating contests somewhere else than at my book, I don't need you're hotdog action.

He isn't a diplomat. I can see both sides of it.
