look at the panam situation.(i am not blaming Shrink for panam folding)Shrink praised them and people listened.....i am saying this because what Shrink says about books can sway people one way or another....especially newbies....and Shrink knows this..

DPO-
You are right..Shrink does have some level of power and must use it RESPONSIBLY. However, as I learned during the Royal situation in the fall, these guys are, no offense, whores to some degree. To put in a different way, Shrink and the Rx are not really "watchdogs" per se, they run a business and they generally run it wisely by not biting the hand(s) that feed them. They (Rx, Shrink, mods, etc.) also do yeoman's work when books do get into trouble and posters have trouble getting paid. They are truly in the middle and do a decent job of managing it. The only time I have a problem is when they try to play the "see what stand-up guys we are" routine when they move against a book. That works with many posters just like guarantees, locks, praises, vouching for various bookies, etc. With that said, some posters like me are a bit more cynical and take the "show me" attitude before making moves.
I'm all for personal responsibility and frankly too many posters are idiot degenerates looking for the easy way out and ready to blame someone else for the mud they are stuck in.
