To whom it may concern:

First of all, we would like to clarify the ownership issue at Rio/Skybook. Yes, Rio has a new majority owner, an individual that would like to remain silent due to his roots in the United States. We would like to first of all state that this individual has deep, deep pockets from his holdings in real estate and other successful business interests. Rio/Skybook has never been better off financially as illustrated by the fact that payouts have been faster than ever and customer satisfaction has never been higher. The overall infrastructure of the office has remained intact, and Roy has stayed on as a consultant with stock options. The majority owner has chosen to not make any drastic changes due to the fact that he was very happy with the overall structure of the business.

In terms of any questions about promotions, it is widely known that Rio/Skybook has been the most liberal sportsbook in the industry in terms of give aways, promotions, etc. So any questions about the fact that the free half seems too good to be true can easily be refuted by the past history of the company. Sure, the office does not like to give away a free half to everyone, however, the corporate heads of the company believe that this promotion creates loyalty and retention at Rio/Skybook. Simply ask any recipient over the last 3 years of the outlandish contests or the free halfs if they ever got slow paid even once. We feel that if you poll the betting public about their experience at Rio/Skybook that you will hear only positives. And we assure you that from a financial standpoint, we have never been more sound. Thanks to all for your strong support.

I dont give a flying shit who owns them as long as they continue to pay me in the manner that they have done so in the past two years. How many times does a rumor about Rio end in a squash and they just continue to pay and go on and on.

Thank you Rio for straightening everything out. There should no longer be any doubt that Rio and its sister companies are well backed and financially sound.

We'll hope that the FBI doesn't find out about the United States backer, arrest him, and freeze his assets like they did to a backer of Carib last month. If they do, I'm sure there are several backers with deep pockets from countries besides the United States who will readilly come forward and stand behind a solid operation such as Rio and its sister companies.

Hats off to Shrink for being willing to bet $200,000 of his own money that these three places will be around at the end of football. It takes a brave man to risk that much money that established sportsbooks will still be in business at the end of the most lucrative time of the year for sportsbooks.

But I'm sure Shrink would be willing to bet the same $200,000 that these three sportsbooks would still be around at the end of the NBA season next June, right?
