Re: Last season, I stand by that post 100%.
The Sox won 108 games in regular season and lost three games in playoffs with Mookie.
It is hard to imagine that if they has had Trout instead of Mookie, they would have done better than that.
Anyways, try as you may, you are not going to goad me into changing the topic here from Dave Dombrowski to Mike Trout/Mookie Betts.

A few quick comments here:
The drug dealing comment was taken out of context, meaning that Wayne tried to justify fantasy sports by saying it is a multi billion dollar business.
The intent of my comment was not to say that that fantasy sports are in the same class as drug dealing but merely to point out that the amount of
money spent on an activity does not mean in itself that it is good for society.
Now that you brought it up, I will also tell you that imo video games are not good for our society in that they promote violence, aggression and anti-social
behavior in our youth, multi- billion dollar industry or not!
Also while not technically harmful, I view things like too much indulgence in such stuff as fantasy sports and even Facebook as not very encouraging
for our society either no matter how big an industry they are.
You want another example-just look at the porno industry.
Because many millions if not billions of dollars are spent on it and the same derived in profits, does that make it good?
Oh yes-sure one can argue that stuff like above is ok because that is what society wants.
If that is the criterion one wants to use for its ok and acceptance, then fine-some of us look at the matter differently.

have the intelligence to understand.

It seems to me that in both the two threads I started and the original one about the Ban, I have had more people coming forth and speak/imply
negative feelings about Wayne/CM than they have about me.
