US citizens, tax payers and only people 21 and over should vote as well.

Sadly, this another issue that isnt even remotley debateable but then the Dems would have zero hope of winning so it would never pass.

It's easy to care about all the stupid shit that liberals pretend is important when your parents are paying for everything.

maybe allow foreigners to drive (same with us in foreign countries) if they can pass a brief quiz on particular street signs.

Would have to be a picture of the signs and the answers might be in the form of multiple choice pictures. Not even anything on driving laws, just understanding of safety street signs.

You are too old to count. Tell me where I am wrong Mr. Affirmaitve Action. Illegals should vote? How about 13 year olds?

The liberals love to talk about Russian interference yet they also want non citizens to vote when it benefits them

And Wilbur for the record, I would love to beat the bloody pulp out of you. I don'r care that you are old and not a person. Would go out of my way to hurt you badly. I don't like you walking. Now go donate to send a homeboy to college fund

A lot of anger between you two guys, I could understand if it was over some unpaid money from a private bet
A simple difference of opinion about what sounds like political opinions, C'mon men grow up and just agree to disagree, threatening violence is just childish, you guys are better than that, I hope
It's almost like fighting over a parking spot and it escalates to gunfire and one guy is dead and the other in prison for life, don't go there

I have never had any desire to do that when in a foreign country. But like with anything of this nature, one simply has to do their due diligence. You learn the rules of the road, speed limits, signage, etc. For such a short stay, I would rather not put in the time.

I was being cynical. It's easy to drive in these countries and I don't know Spanish, Italian or French. Have driven in all three.

Hard to tell cynicism or sarcasm in the written word without being able to hear tone of voice.

The whole topic is rather amusing as it implies taking away a privilege from anyone that can't read English regardless if they are an American citizen or not (and regardless of their ability to understand the rules of the road). Should there be some criteria for this? Of course, and it's called a driving test. My former neighbor of 20+ years spoke broken English and clearly it was not his native language. He was an American citizen, paid his taxes, and took the driving test and passed. The guy was a great neighbor, a class act, and as friendly as could be. I don't recall him every having an accident. But I digress.

I really didn't expect this thread to such a heated issue some say yes ,some no. A couple of guys with some kind of private feud bring it into this thread. I have a thick skin and can critism ( sp) without needing to challenge my detractors to a fistfight.

I regret even starting this thread, it's just to vicious and negative, I'm not requesting deletion by mods, but cheese & rice it went bad !

This isn’t even a debatable issue.

might as well let blind people drive. All they have to do is say they are discriminated against and bam....The liberals would be all for letting them drive.

As long as the spokesman is a blind homeboy

I'm not really buying this. Hard to imagine someone starting a thread like this and not expecting it to get heated. What exactly was your motivation to start it?

No motivation like making a profit just pretty much general discussion stuff . I had no bad intentions, I'm not some evil person. The thread just took a bad un expected turn . I never thought it would be so controversial a topic. I will not apologize for it, I did nothing wrong, if I did I'd hear about from the mods.
Anybody with anything to say had done it by now. I already stated that I regret even starting this thread, I think it's the worst response I've ever received to a freaking thread. I don't believe in hiding things or a burial on the RR. It should die pm its own now and onto page 2 where it's dead never to be seen again until 5 Teamers resurrects 8 years from now.

I'm done with this thread and this is my final post in this thread.

Peace

Ok, well since you're done with this thread, I won't expect a reply back. I think it's a stretch for someone to believe that this was just a random thought that suddenly popped into your head. So out of the blue you decided it was a good idea to take away the driving privileges of anyone that doesn't understand English regardless if they passed a driving test and that it would be a great topic for discussion. Yeah, not buying it.
