You guys are all nuts. I never would in a million years involve any family member in the day to day of my gambling. Occasionally might let them know I have action on a game we are watching, but nothing more. You have to treat it all like a business or else just as you suspect they will want to spend it. If they can't accept this is your business then you are with the wrong woman. I can't believe you buy her a gift and say anything about gambling wins. What happens when you have a bad year? If you aren't careful, that leads to her or family members calling GA telling them you are blowing family money on betting.

No no no. Don't go down that road. The 10k you won is just part of a long term business and nothing more.

WB- only been gambling on line for 2 years, so haven't had a bad one yet.
Jman- Ive been posting less these days.

Well, I did tell her, but not more than she needed to know.
I told her I won a contest and made her guess the amount.

She started at $100 and made it up to $2000 before she stopped. So unless she asks, $2000 it is.

I did tell her about the rollover, and that it was not a sure thing. Even at 50% play I should come out with a nice chunk of money.

Of course, I need Skybook to actually fund the account which they havent done yet. I know they were waiting for Mike to come in. 2 plays I like tonight, holding off on making them until I see if he funds it today.

I would have had a difficult time not telling her.

Thanks for all the support.

I agree with not telling her until you've atleast rolled it over. You just have 10K in a sportsbook account at this point with no way to take it out or take this opportunity to teach her about gaming and how you have to rollover this 10K about 5 or 6 times before you can get ahold of any of it.

I think Mike is off on Tuesdays. Rollover is no biggie, just don't overbet, you'll get most of it, maybe more.

In 94 I hit a 11k video poker jackpot and told my wife about it. When we split up a month later it was like she won the damn thing. Not telling you what you should do, it all depends on how long do you think your relationship will last. Mine get short circuited between 1 and 5 so I made a dumb mistake telling her

Personally I would tell my wife only because it took me 3 years to teach her that we cannot keep secrets from each other EVER. House rule and not judging anyone who thinks differently.

I have to change my answer because I misunderstood the contest. I THOUGHT if you won the $300 you won an account and had to roll it over but I thoght the $10,000 was a "true" win of $10,000 not an account, so these guys are right when they say at least wait until you do roll it over...."(hopefully u can turn it into more than $10,000)

Good Luck!

Why would you think no rollover ? A rollover is no biggie, just be sane about it !

Here's a better question. Do you get the free half-point when rolling the 10K over ? I think you should !

Most women do not like gamblers

2 years ago I made some big bets in front of women trying to show off and they both were unimpressed and walked away from me. They were both big timers too and I had a shot to score before the bets.

Got an email from MIke yesterday, sayig he would get back to me today with the specifics.

I HAVE asked about the free 1/2 point, rollover, how are favs (ML) wager treated for the rollover (risk or win).

Still waiting for his email, call, and account to be loaded.
Would have won my first bet there yesterday.
Instead, I won it at Sportbet (no biggie).
